Why am I getting a 'tax due' statement from the state for $100?
Tax type is Corporation Income & Franchise.
This has fallen through the cracks for me, and now I owe $134.01 and could face collections. lol.
This is a side business LLC. I already filed taxes for 2020.
HELP.

It's essentially a net worth tax. In my state, LLCs have to file and pay those annually with a minimum of $100 due.

Yup. The state thinks you owe a LA business tax return, so they are billing you for non-filing.
Call them and explain to them the LLC is a single member LLC, reported on your individual Schedule C (if this is correct). They may require you to send them a copy of your Schedule C.
They will then update their records that no return is required.
Was this LLC created in 2019? Did you apply for a sales tax or withholding tax account?

Absolutely not true in LA. LA does have a separate annual report for the Sec of State that must be filed and paid. This is not that.

Yeah I opened it in 2019.
Withholding tax I’m almost positive.
My business does not have “sales”.

When you applied for your LA Dept of Revenue account number, you checked a box incorrectly. Would be my thought. Good luck getting them on the phone.

Yeah a CIFT account was created for your LLC. Call the number on the notice and just tell them like I said above.
This isn’t uncommon.
