I just picked up this CC because it said they'd give me $500 in travel rewards for signing up and spending a bit- I'm using it to buy my ticket to Vegas for a bachelor Party.

The only reason I got the card was for the reward. Also, thought it might replace my old Citi card that's been in rotation. Hate that card.

My only question is who bank rolls this thing? On the front it doesn't seem to have a VISA or MC emblem. Also, anybody have experience using it?

Really nothing. I just wanted the plane ticket. Anything extraordinary? Is the card plastic or metal?

Ahh, we seem to think alike on this CC thing. I want to keep the AMEX Gold Premier and this Sapphire Preferred.

I want to drop the CITI. And I'll keep my BOA card because it's 9% APR (old MBNA card they used to give out to everybody lol).

I got the card for the same reason. Though I was able to squeeze an extra $500 out of them as well for a total of $1k for getting a damn CC.

Google s6v offer, it's long over and I think they just have it to me for being a loyal customer.

As far the card, it's cool, metal, with the digits on the back.

I don't think he has it in his possession to do that.

I'll hit that easily. Unfortunately, I've got a big purchase coming up where I have to spend that much.

I'll just put on the card then pay it off the next bill cycle. I wasn't worried about a couple thousand dollar spend. If it was 10K, I probably wouldn't have signed up for it.

So this card isn't that exclusive if the entire money board has it lol I did a little research prior to it and CHASE has tried to market this thing as extremely exclusive.

Nope, its right there with the Capital One Venture Card, which is what I use.

Meh. Capital One needs to market their cards better. That sounds like cheap crap.

Is that what their campaign was? I thought it was Alec Baldwin.

It's hard to get a read on these cards. I typically don't apply for cards they build commercials for generally because they're usually based around some gimmick with few actual features.

The Sapphire benefits mimic alot of my AMEX Gold Premier ones- which is the entire reason I got the card (along with travel bonus).

I think it started with Vikings (or maybe that was the bank overall) then moved to Baldwin.

This one seemed to rack up travel the fastest and easiest. Most benefits of cards I just don't care about, like lounges, so I just focused mostly on this one aspect.

I'd be a lot more into other benefits if I could figure out how to get some real use out of them, but it seems like opportunities to use them are few enough to make it immaterial for me right now.

Sounds like it... I keep my USAA Mastercard because they have given me a "temporary" 1.9% Apr for the past 3 years... But the rewards on it suck

Amex has sent me "reminders" every christmas that I don't have to pay off my balance at the end of the month
