Boeing is a good example of DEI excesses killing a company combined with awful management (though those are really the same thing).

Airbus is eating their lunch. If Airbus is smart they will add another US assembly location besides the one in Mobile, AL. If they put it in another southern state Airbus can say they are the “American” nonunion no DEI airplane manufacturer and probably get a military contract. Once they do that, Boeings days are numbered.

Airbus is a French company and is absolutely ate up with DEI. Don’t kid yourself.

Airbus in Mobile AL definitely doesn’t seem as crazy as Boeing in Washington State for HR policy.

The French notoriously hate DEI wokeness as well.

I don’t think most people realize how corporate obsession with DEI is a very American thing. Most other countries don’t have the bizarre focus on race or identity politics we do in America. Wokeness is a uniquely American liberal ideology that we are exporting to the rest of the world.

Can you imagine how nice a Tesla engineered passenger plane would be? Elon would cut Boeings workforce in half and double productivity with a better product.

It’s plausible, especially with more of the same from management, but this stock is already so hated that I think most of the pain is over. If they can simply not frick up for a bit you’ll make money.

I’d love to see some collaboration with another American monolith. “Boeing powered by Intel”

Airbus can’t make all thr planes
Boeing has a huge backlog of orders
That being said watching Boeing try to commit suicide has been crazy
I’ve lost money trying to call the bottom
And just watching now

I believe Airbus has a larger backlog. Boeing's backlog is self-inflicted currently though with quality control and strikes. Boeing can work through backlog quicker though if fully running, Airbus cannot as they are constrained by just the physical ability to build planes.

Elon said the new Boeing CEO is an great pick. He's an excellent engineer and engineers won't put up with shoddy workmanship from any source.

Evidently a lot of Boeing's decline was due to management more inclined to stock prices, marketing schemes, bean counting, DEI and outsourcing than first rate engineering and quality control.
