Yes. I have family in Corning. Stock went crazy along with the internet stock bubble in the late 90's then crashed. I would go visit my in laws and look around the town and talked to folks and heard they were investing a lot of $ into fiberoptics and catalytic convertors (that could have both civilian and military applications 
). Around 2003, I took a flyer and bought around $2,000 bucks worth at approximately $5 per share and parked it and forgot about it, per se. My BIL called me in early 2025 and asked me about them and I started checking and watching this meteoric rise. Unreal.
It's beautiful country there on the Southern Tier of NY - very good gliding. It's also funny seeing a tech company in a small town in Upstate NY - you go to the Wegmans there and you see lots of Indians and Asians who work at Corning.
Edit since post: Just spoke to my MIL and it sounds like Corning Inc is making the slow march down to North Carolina.
