Should we be waiting until after q1 earnings to buy or should we be jumping in on a down day? They did sky rocket this week but the earnings will be BRUTAL next month and q2 earnings will be worse. Plus I think people are going to be wary about getting on a plane for a couple of months after the virus is under control.

Delta is 4/8 - 4/13
Southwest is 4/23

Your thoughts?

I am going to monitor the earnings report. I got in on DAL at $24.19 and sold at $35.41. If it slips into the $25 range again I'll be back.

I may do the same. I’m wondering if the market will react to the actual earnings results or the guidance and future potential.

Earnings are irrelevant. Nobody is flying.

Just checked on a JetBlue fare from MSY to Boston. $34 round trip, yes $34 bucks to fly to Boston and back next week. That says it all.

The earnings are already priced in. Everybody knows they’re gonna take a huge hit
