I still think the issue is at least partly funding a 401k in excess of what income and expenses will allow. Now, that problem is exacerbated by frivolous spending but that’s part and parcel of a consumer economy

bottom line is, it’s the investor’s money. Agency over owned earnings is not a problem for me
