I actually agree with your picks. But are you for real on the 12-0? You usually try to put objectivity in your posts liek this.

We have the best front 7 in the SEC- with the most depth on the DL
We are very good at Safety and will be improved at CB

We have a really good QB
We are really good at RB
We are good at TE
We are very good on the OL
We have more talent at WR
We have a new offensive system that relies more on throwing to TE's and RB's.

State vs Bama in Tuscaloosa for the title- why not us?

Draft picks in April:

Sweat
Simmons
Fitz
Jenkins
Green
Rivers
Abram
Hoyette

McLaurin, Thomas and Calhoun have an outside shot

Where do you think Brian Cole fits in this year? Very solid DB that has to play.

DE- Green/Spencer
DT- Hoyett/Thomas
DT- Simmons/Brown
DE- Sweat/Rivers

Not to mention Brown, Autry, Jones and Adams.

Nobody in the SEC can top that.

Linebacker
• Leo Lewis (Fewer distractions this year- I think he'll have his best season here so far)
• Errol Thompson (My pick for Defensive Breakout Player)
• Willie Gay
• Tim Washington

Secondary
• Peters
• Abram
• Cole
• Dantzler
• McLaurin

I think we have the best overall defense in the SEC this year. It doesn't even matter how good Shoop is this year because we have so much talent and depth. It's gonna be a fun football season!

I agree Random MSSTATE Fan. People are giving Auburn way too much credit this season when their RB and OL Positions have very serious question marks. A Malzahn offense is not going to work without a good running game. And that is why I do not see them winning in Starkville.

The only question mark anyone can say we have on defense is CB, but we add in talent there this year. I'm not concerned about any area of our defense. We have a playoff caliber defense.

I think Willie Gay starts before the season is over

Rayford is close to pushing Peters or Dantzler to being the Nickel CB

And we are at home. I think that ends up being the difference

Probably so. Linebacker is a strength. To be honest, the whole defense is a strength. The SEC doesn't know what they're about to be facing.

Yep. Green is going to show out this year at DE. It's his position.

I've said this for 4 years. Our coaches think he ends up a top 3-4 round pick. Which also frustrates Rivers because he has to rotate to get reps. I think Rivers shows out also and declares.
