Solo ticket buying advice wanted

For years I have split a set of season tickets with a buddy in return for me funding most of the tailgate food and booze. as kids have been added we make less and less tailgate and this year he only plans to make one game... which is arkansas so no tailgate and sold the rest of them leaving me to have to find my own tickets so...
I am looking for a solo ticket to florida... don't REALLY care where, but would prefer not upper bleachers or visiting section... is it better to pull the trigger on a ticket I see now or am I going to have better luck waiting till game week, or even snagging one outside the stadium... anything in the lower bowl is $300-$500 for one damn ticket right now

I am no "ticket pro" but I find it better to wait until the week of the game, or even game day as prices drop significantly. In the meantime, also monitor for someone searching for an odd number of tickets (1, 3, 5, etc.) as sellers often only have even numbers and don't want to break them up. In these cases you can "piggy back" a sale with the buyer needing an odd number. Also as game week approaches and especially on game day, you can often be given a single ticket (or find one at a significant price decrease) that a holder is stuck with as someone had a change of plans, bailed at last minute, or even got drunk at a tailgate and decided to watch the game on the TV, and a lot of the corporate ticket holders have multiple tickets, never know who all is actually going to show up, and are left with extras. (With regard to the latter two circumstances, it is never a bad idea to make a round through the RV tailgate area on game day- you not only get to experience that scene, but also could very well find a ticket.)
Just my thoughts. Good luck.

That's what I'm leaning towards doing, but I'm a planner by nature so rolling into BR with a hotel room booked and no tickets gives me a touch of anxiety...but I highly doubt I don't at some point find a ticket that day
