So just a heads up scammers are now reaching out to sellers acting interested in purchasing a ticket from you. Once they agree to the purchase they act concerned about being scammed and want you to send them a screen shot of your ticket or something of the like to confirm the validity of it. This is all a ploy to have pictures of something that looks legit so they can in turn use it as ammo in future scams. These pieces of human fecal matter think they’re slick but with a little smarts about you it’s very easy to make safe transactions on Tiger Droppings to avoid the astronomical fees of the third party vendors. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS (I can’t stress always enough ) make them comment on your post prior to doing any exchange of money. That way you can click on their profile and see when they registered on this site. Scammer accounts are almost always very recently registered with almost always sole posts selling tickets. Keep your wits about you and don’t let these pieces of shite ruin a good thing we have going here. Be careful out there and GEAUX TIGERS !

This is 100% truth. I've reported some posters that were using screenshots that they got from legit sellers. Thankfully I didn't fall for it, but it was pretty elaborate and clever how they are trying their scams.

Twice today now. Once I ask them to comment on my post it’s ghost town.

I don’t get this though - all the ticket sites clearly say screen shots of tickets can’t be accepted? So what does them getting to send you a screenshot do for them?

Gives them something legit”ish” looking to send to a cautious buyer to get them to bite on their BS and Venmo them some ($.

Yeah I was 100% scammed by something like this. Looked like legit tickets from their LSU account. Sad day.

Two things here.
1) you can use a screenshot of the ticket to get into a game. I've done it at LSU football, basketball, and Baseball. In fact, you can upload a screenshot of a ticket to Seatgeek (or enter the barcode) and Seatgeek will list the ticket. Upon selling the ticket, SeatGeek will send an E-ticket with that barcode to the buyer. All that is needed is the QR code to get into the game or a barcode number to list the ticket on a 3rd site.
2) The scammers aren't getting screenshots of the actual tickets from people on this board. The scammers are asking sellers for proof of a ticket. The sellers then send them a screenshot showing the tickets in their LSU account or in their seatgeek account. The screenshots don't have the barcodes in them. Scammers then re-use the screenshots as their own as "proof" to a potential buyer that they own the tickets. Buyers send money via Venmo, PayPal, etc, and never get the tickets b/c the scammers don't have them.

This needs a bump. This place is crawling with scammers worse than I’ve ever seen. Prob should request a sticky.

Yup. The trash got me. Goodbye A&M game and $350. Makes me sick they ruin it for everyone.

Just curious, is the safest way to pay by PayPal. My wife got scammed once and Venmo was no help

Get a paypal credit card.
Don't use friends/family unless you know the person.
I charge my ticket purchases on PayPal and pay a little more than asking price to cover the transaction fee.
I got scammed on a selling a $100 gift card years ago. Buyer paid. Gave gift card #. "Buyer" said that he was hacked and PayPal reversed the transaction leaving me with no gift card and no payment.
One and only time I have been scammed.

I actually was scammed my first time ever last year on A&M game. 450$. I went thru dandy don though. Don’t ever do that. No way to vet the person whatsoever. I’ve been extremely careful and only go through here since.

told that guy "if he's a scammer, i hope you get cancer"
Posted on 10/22/24 at 10:11 am to jkylejohnson
This is what worries me. This guy emailed me too. Said 4 tickets for 150$ each.
I'm scared to buy any of them now. ??

Dang, hate that y'all got scammed.
Sadly, this is why so many folks opt to use sites like StubHub and SeatGeek to make ticket transactions. Paying more for the security of those sites.
