Response to locochica saying his parents should encourage him to take the money and run.. Which, the money will be a decent amount, but more than likely not his asking price and not enough to pass up playing QB and pitching at LSU... and as long as he stays healthy IMO he will benefit from his college athletics experience...

I pray to god that he isn't the starting QB this year. Hell, I hope he doesn't get one snap under center (unless we're up by like 30 points in the 4th). You know that your program is in trouble when you have an 18 year old, true freshman under center. Unless he is just some extreme, rare exceptional talent.

Which means Miles insisted on staying with JJ or JLee long enough to poo poo the season before going with ZL.

If you add sacks and one-third of his rushing attempts in to pass attempts, JJ's average is 5.9 per playcall, while Lee was 6.67 the year before.

and how does it effect the average when the other team intercepts the ball and we get negaitive 50 yards offense because the other team takes it to the house for 6

Because you either did not witness, or you forgot, Tommy Hodson's freshman year or Colt McCoy's freshman year or Sam Bradford's Freshman (RS though) year.

Zach could be more like these guys than the inordinately poor early campaigns of JJ and JLee

this thread is interesting to me, from the point of view
of how an "organism"
we LSU fans in this case
learn, collect data, and synthesize the data, and intuit possibilities.

I am not ready to expect Z Lee to start by the 4th game for the simple reason I still think its more likely he ends up pitching for the Dodgers but if he is actually on the team when North Carolina game happens, then the speculation will be wild if JJ fails in the opener.

I found it interesting that Miles is taking JJ to the media day.
That's a vote of confidence.

Les will make Zack wait until his jr. yr. before he gets a shot!

Any qb would be better than JJ. He cannot make decisions! Never could & will probably have more sacks this season than last year.

Never could? He's played one year and two games.

Or he could have his confidence completely shot to hell. I just don't see it. Les put LSU through 2 mediocre seasons in a row by playing JJ and JL too soon. No way does he make the same mistake and abandon these guys. I honestly believe that JJ's conservative approach came from JL's propensity to picks. He was either too worried to make a bad throw that he held it, or he was instructed to do so by the staff. Crowton needs to bring back the TE in a major way this year. JJ's best game according to LSU fans was GT. In that game he spread the ball around on short passes and Dickson was the leading receiver.

if you deduct the interception return yardage from Lee's total in 08, and the sack yardage from JJ's in 09, it puts both at 5.2 yards per pass play called.

Terrible compasison....

There is in FACT a distinct difference in playing QB as opposed to safety and receive...

I'll give CB is difficult but its child play compared to having to know where 22 people are at the same time....

If he's starting by week 4 then this year is going to be way uglier than everyone is predicting.

Yeah but the o-line has to get some of the blame for the sacks. Not so much for the pick sixes.

I watched the Vandy game on Cox last weekend and two times JJ got sacked by a LB that came in free right by Ciron and Keiland. And both times Ciron and Keiland started arguing with each other right after the play. That was two seniors that blew assignments. You can't tell me they didn't know better.

One example.. From over 20 years ago.

Nice.

quote:

Colt McCoy's freshman year

Big 12

Refer to what happened when he played an sec team

quote:

Sam Bradford's Freshman

Big 12, once again

Refer to him playing against an sec team

Tommy Hodson was a redshirt freshman, not a true freshman, when he started his first game at LSU.

I never got the point of writing something insulting to the team and following it up with that placard. I can't tell if it's sarcasm or moral cover. Please explain.
