What measure are you using for this? And we did have a good (not great) offense last year, but we had a 5th year senior who is in the NFL this year, 2 RB's including a 5th year junior who are both playing in the NFL this year, 3 NFL WR's and an NFL o-lineman. All of whom will likely be joined by a few other players from last year's offense in the NFL soon enough. To have that level of talent and experience in this day and age is extremely tough to accomplish, and we still didn't knock the doors off of college football.
There's literally no need for further discussion. You dislike Miles and that decision has been made in your mind. There isn't anything or any facts anyone could say to show you otherwise. If you weren't satisfied with last years offense, you'll never be satisfied. Go be a Pac-12 fan.

And yes, relatively speaking in the SEC and Nationally the D did better than the O last year.
I know our D was rated higher nationally but you can't believe our D was better than our O last year.

Look at the last 10 years and let me know where LSU ranks as far as winning programs.

You need a good offense to win, and Les hasn't shown he can make one
So that explains the string of losing seasons under Miles?

No denying that last year's offensive production was good enough to win a championship.
All Miles needs is a QB in his system the third year, after An appearance in a JUCO final, and a season under another SEC program known for identifying and developing QB talent. Throw in 3 early entrant NFL skill position players, too.
You see, the problem I have is that our championship caliber offenses have never been led by anyone Miles has identified and developed under his tenure. JR and Flynn were obviously Jimbo's.
Hell, truth be known, we only end up with Mettenberger because he was brought to the attention of our staff. Miles doesn't know what he wants outside of 8 TEs with no pass catching ability and 3 FBs that have been primarily on defense.
I am of the belief that identifying and developing the QB position is the most vital part of winning championships. Certainly having the level of defensive talent we have had can hide deficiencies with a QB, thus giving you the JJ/McElroy anomalies.
Guys like Mauck with Saban, Wallace with Freeze, and Malzahn with anybody (LOL) are missing from Miles' list. However, I do feel, unlike his previous 10 years of failure in this regard, that Patterson and Franks have the makings of championship QBs. But it remains to be seen if they make it to campus, or if Miles is here long enough to find out.

We just had the greatest offensive year in the history of the SEC...
Yet were ranked the 7th best in the conference that year. Not sure what ranking system you are using.
