One knee catching with a runner on base is ridiculous. I wasn’t taught this way. It makes zero sense Neal did it and drove me crazy! They all seem to do it now but it is lazy and you can’t move properly to block a ball in the dirt. Horrible technique they have going on now with this junk. My high school coach was a former college catcher and this would have been unacceptable way back 20 years ago.

I have no clue how this started. I know MLB does it, but it goes against everything I ever learned about catching.

Analytics retards started it.

And HLP too.

Both are jokes and a pox on the game.

I’m sure it is bad on the knees mine hurt daily. You can take a break when runners aren’t on base might not happen much or on any pitch before the hitter gets two strikes. It’s hard to watch arrimbide seems to lack the hand strength to squeeze the ball very very similar to what everyone witnessed with Brady Neal. He needs work have faith he can get there but right now it’s not pretty. Will cost us a lot come sec play I have no faith in leverage moments in his defensive abilities yet. Wasn’t posted towards you meauxjeax just wanted it on the rant I was reading and guess it attached somehow.
