Should have never hired him in the first place

simply clueless as a HC

he will always be in Saban's shadow
quote:objectively false
he cannot win the games that matter, and cannot compete against the SEC West with any consistency

We are already the laughing stock of college football

Everyone in the country can see this, why can't we?

quote:this is where i'm at right now. i'm suffering from miles fatigue. the guy has been incredible but, i'm ready to part ways just for something new and different to happen.
I've been a Miles apologist for a long time. But that loss to Arkansas took it all out of me. I get losing to Alabama. We've been close enough to win those a few times. But two in a row to Arkansas?
i have been around long enough to know that things will not necessarily be better but, i don't see lsu becoming miami or nebraska. the recruiting potential is too good, the sec west will bring out the best of a coaching staff or they will be gone. too much pressure on the ad to let a mediocre staff hang around.

Win-loss percentage may say that's correct. Miles was fortunate to inherit a program on solid footing and maintained it. But he's not the greatest. That would be Nick Saban, who won two SEC titles and an national title in his first four years. Miles has those same totals in 11 years.

We've been eliminated in the West with two or more weeks left in the season in each of the three years. That's not consistent contention.

Mr. Rabalais vs. the reality inside Joe Alleva's office are miles apart. Fans that love this team enough to endure the upheaval of a regime change fail to realize how much of an immovable fixture Miles really is. Ain't happening.
The 10-Win Settlers rule the day - even with a 9-Win off year and a presumed win with McNeese.

Quality losses to BAMA & Arky should help, particularly in North LA

quote:no one is arguing that point
But he's not the greatest
quote:there is no way to describe miles' tenure as "not competing against the sec west with any consistency." if anything, lsu has been the most consistently excellent program in the sec over the last 11 years. over the last 8 years, it's been bama. that's the only program better than lsu in the nation. the description is just ridiculous.
That's not consistent contention

quote:i was talking about after a change. if you look around the west over the last several years, that's been the case. coaches either win fairly quickly or get canned.

I completely agree. Wish they would do it already. After Saturday things will be clearer still.
