We both know our defense just plain gave up after the kick return. That broke our backs. We got solidly beat but I don't believe the score is indicative of how we matched up.

Slickeer, i think we KNOW the type of QB it takes to WIN crystal balls. For us its never been too flashy, we had jamarcus russel, het put up numbers, no Crystal ball! game managers do, how many titles has Choklahoma won with big game bobs record setting qb's? none, they used defensive to win the one, his qbs that put up big numbers havnt won jack! Newton last year is only qb to be a big numbers guy to lead team to title recently.

We knew he was going to do that. That’s on Geno. If he thinks he can get it over him, he’s got to get it over him. He was aware that kid was pretty good and when he blitzed he was going straight up the field. It’s something Geno needs to do a better job of.”

you'd win the NT with more points this year.

We dropped a TD, missed an XP, and missed a FG. How many more points did you want us to beat you by?

uhhh, Tim Tebow says hi. I kinda get your point, but it really just depends on the makeup of your team and what it needs. sometimes you need a QB who's more of a playmaker, sometimes you don't.

Notice the absence of 3-4 posters in these pro-Jlee threads?
couple weeks ago they would have been on this like white on rice.

Momentum is very important in College football. The inertia seem to propel a good football team forward to victory. Controlling the game and that games perception is important.
I heard a number of reasons why LSU seemed to take over the West Virginia football game last Saturday night. LSU DB Claiborn 99 yard punt returner for a touchdown was indeed a show stopper.
And that quick punt return for a touchdown put the quiet back into the mountain mans fans.

But the one single reason LSU took over the West Virgina football game last Saturday night was because of the West Virginia coach. The failed fourth down call killed WVU momentum. West Virginia fourth down call with 13:50 left in the game at the LSU 40 yard line. Was in the end a big coaching mistake.
They failed and LSU took over to use up the rest of the time clock. And scored a TD putting the game out of reach. And again as it was. WVU had another small drive killed on a WVU QB fumble later with 5:00 minuets left. LSU again taking control of the ball and marching down the field for a Touchdown. Making the final score LSU 47, WVU 21.
In my option it was the West Virginia coach insisting on taking a chance at the LSU 40 yard line with 13:50 to play. Looking at a fourth down and 4 yards for a first down. That failed and in reality gave the football back to LSU at mid field. From that moment on LSU never looked back. He should have simply punt the ball as close as he could to LSU goal line. WVU had momentum. The game turned back into LSU's favor after that failure.
