that's a Cam and offense scheme problem not a Jennings issue. Jennings is fine. In any other offense he would have played fine and no one would even think this was an issue. He has everything you need in a QB. Now it is just up to Miles/Cam to do what needs to be done with their offense.

Last year the QB sucked; therefore, next season's QB will suck. F*ing 3rd grade logic.
Count back ten years. Well maybe a third grader would have difficulty remembering that far back unless he repeated several grades.

2008-10 really messed you up, huh?

It's hard to keep participating in these types of conversation with people that don't understand or entirely misread the comments you make. Both Jennings and Harris would have produced had they played in an offense that they are familiar with. But all of a sudden you want these dual QB's to just be a drop back passer and mostly hand off to your talented stable of RB's. Most teams know LSU loves to run and when they stop them the first two downs and put them in the position of having to pass, out of a unfamiliar offense, well, I don't think I need to explain that.

Go check out Mett's 2013 splits. Miles doesn't hesitate to air it out with a capable QB.

I appreciate that you take a different perspective than dogging on Jennings like most, but there's also nothing fundamentally wrong with the vertical offense.
I think Cam's just been working with professionals for so long that he assumed Jennings would pick it up and run with it like Mett did.
I agree that what we see in 2015 wont be what we saw in either of Cam's first two years.

It's really not that complicated. Glad you see it also, I'm sure Miles/Cam see it also. Just hope they aren't to stubborn or stuck in the past to not make the necessary changes for this offense to start clicking.

Was he capable the year before?? And Miles' didn't have a thing to do with his break out season. LSU is and always has been a run oreinted team, and that's a problem in todays modern game. Creates a team that struggles with their identity on offense. A team that can't come back when down big. People wanna see a more open attack. The game is a lot more fun to play and watch when it is that way. Mettenberger last season was fun to watch because they started doing much more things than the usual crap, but that even started to tail off towards the nd of the season with the ground game coming back in control.

Depends on how you look at it. Either he wasn't ready early in the year or the coaches didnt trust him yet. After the Bama game, the script was flipped.
Which games are you referring to where the ground game takes over? Its no secret that Miles likes to run the ball once hes built a sizable lead.
I also fundamentally disagree with this.

Another thing is Cam Cameron cannot coach when you have 3 other coaches in his damn ear telling him what they think he should run. Ridiculous! You brought him there to take over and improve your offense which he did his first season. But out of his own mouth Cameron has said that he confers with Miles, Frank Wilson (don't know why) and somebody else when running plays. Cameron made another comment about we are a run first team and that's our MO. Never said that before the first season, so it leads me to believe thats Miles' input on what he wants to do.

So this is foundation for Miles constricting the offense, and if it improves in 2015, its because he let go of the reigns?

You can disagree that's fine. That's the way life or people I should say are. But when you run the ball a lot and have to be in a position to pass when you are not doing it on a regular basis. You will struggle causing players to get frustrated like they were last season. And whatever else. And I disagree with you sayin Miles likes to run the ball when he has a sizable lead. In most games he hardly has a sizable lead, but he loves to run the damn ball period!

Man, you got a answer for every damn thing. If you think the offense is fine and that Miles and Cameron are doing a good job than bravo for you!
Posted on 2/21/15 at 9:16 am to tubucoco
I think the 48% completion percentage was more of a factor in frustration than the run/pass ratio, but agree to disagree.

I think if something isn't working right then you have two options. Either get better at what you're doing or try something else.
My guess is we'll probably do both.

Its the coaching stupid! Flame away.

Why do people keep posting this stuff? Is Harris not a QB? Do you seriously think Harris will never progress beyond what he was as a true FR? Do you remember Rohan Davey, Matt Flynn or Jamarcus Russell playing as true FR? Do you remember how terrible Davey looked against Auburn in his first start as a RS SO and how he was benched until the last game of the season after Dinardo was fired? Do you remember how inconsistent JR was as a RS FR? Do you remember how much better Mett was as a RS SR versus how he played as a RS JR?
Until you (and others who have these questions) answer these questions (to yourself, please not on here), don't keep posting stuff like this. Last year we had inexperienced QBs that were not ready. Jennings was a little more consistent (although not as talented) as Harris. When Harris gets command of the offense he will start. This is not a mystery nor is it a conspiracy to keep an All American QB on the bench.
Ok, I'm done venting. I'm not ticked at anyone. I'd just like the hand-wringing to stop.
