One of the best nights I had in Tiger stadium was back in the 60's...sitting next to Ole Miss fans. We razzed each other and shared drinks and made bets during the game. I doubt that goes on any more. What we are seeing in Tiger stadium is a dumbing down of societal manners into the depths of of gutter mob mentality. This is not a more gentler society and I would not want to have to grow up in todays world. By the way, I came out $33 ahead on the bets.

This is nonsense. I've seen the occasional LSU fan get out of control but "20" "over 35" fans?? Get real.

Every fanbase has a bad element. Just because you've come face to face with a few exceptional assholes from the opposing side doesn't mean the all the fans are that way. Most fans everywhere are good folks who just want to watch the game and cheer for their team. The assholes just attract more attention.

I've been semi-involved in multiple threads addressing Neck, cussing, whatever, and all of that is blamed on the student section. Well, Saturday was my first LSU game in 4 years outside of the student section. I sat among LSU fans, but a few Arkansas fans were strung out among us. The Arkansas fans were very gentile, excited to talk, and didn't even call the hogs among us out of semi-respect and probably fear.
I was absolutely embarrassed at the behavior and overall assholery of the above 35 LSU crowd. One Arkansas fan who was standing up during an Arkansas TD play, like the rest of us, got a drink poured down his shirt, all over his seat and cussed at for about 25 minutes straight. It wasn't just one a-hole either, it was about 20 older LSU fans who spit at him, on him, in his seat, etc.
I was completely embarrassed to be an LSU fan. No fan should ever receive that treatment anywhere. Maybe if he was being an a-hole like some other Arkansas fans were being, but this guy just wanted to watch the game and cheer for his team AT HIS OWN STADIUM.
I love LSU, I love to taunt people, but this weekend showed what a bunch of assholes some Tiger fans are.
Even if what you're saying is true, it's pretty ignorant of you to be judging an entire fanbase because of them.

How many away LSU games have you been to? There were a large majority of Arkansas fans that were WAY WORSE than LSU fans. Inside the stadium while they were cheering for Arkansas, they seemed like great fans. But as far as for being a visitor and having to put up with those people, it's way way worse then LSU.

I am slightly biased I guess, not being a LSU fan. I was born in Morgan City, but I wouldn't claim LSU bc the fans are unruly, arrogant and poor losers. I enjoyed watching Arkansas beat you Saturday. I wouldn't say they whooped you, but you never even led a team that most of you berated as over-rated all week long. Good for the hogs.

Ive been to games at Ole Miss, Miss St, and LSU.
At the Mississippi schools they pat you on the back and tell you to have a safe drive home...win or lose. In Baton Rouge you get cussed by a grandma and kicked in the nuts by a 5 year old after losing.
I cant imagine beating yall down there.
