It’s good to see that Scott has his keyboard warriors out in full force this evening. We saw the same crap when he was trying to justify his decision to burn the Basketball program to the ground. Don’t forget that he had a chance to undo the damage to the basketball program last year, and chose not to. He literally kept McMahon for an extra year just so he wouldn’t be on the market when Wade was available.

If you want to know where the rift between Scott and the governor started, look there.

Don’t be fooled, there’s a handful of keyboard warriors out here trying to pump up Scott’s résumé.

You don’t get a chance to hire two football coaches at a school like LSU. It also doesn’t help that you burned the second biggest revenue generating sport to the ground.

You guys refuse to understand what happened with the basketball program.
He did not have a choice with Will Wade. The FBI and NCAA was on him. Our entire athletic department was coming down or let Wade go.

That is BS. Nothing in the notice of allegation against Will Wade stood up. It was never going to stand up, because it was based on unsupported allegations that could not be proven before the IARP. If you look at the final ruling from that body, none of the serious allegations resulted in sanctions. Anybody that had ever been involved in any of those processes fully understood that.

This was not done by the NCAA committee on infractions. So any thought that there was a “deal cut“ to save football did not understand how this process worked during that time. This is a lazy excuse that the athletic department put out that has been further pushed by his buddies at 104.5.

Please go pull up the findings of the IARP and point me to the exact allegation that was proven that would’ve “brought down the athletic department.”

Nice try.

Hahah!! No, the FBI wasn’t on him. In fact, by the time Scott fired him the FBI investigation had been completed and the trials had ended. Hell, the HBO piece was out and Dawkins was already out of jail.

If you read the NCAA bylaws, it is actually not evidence that can be used to support a violation. The reason is very simple. The FBI wiretap was leaked by Dawkins’ defense team. It was never actually used by the DOJ in any prosecution. The DOJ also did not release it to the public. The NCAA actually filed a motion in that case, asking that the DOJ turn the tape over or make it public. The court denied the motion.

Therefore, it becomes anonymous sourced information. That type of information is not usable. The NCAA actually admitted that the only thing they could use that wire tap for was to “start a conversation“ with Will Wade.

Swing and a miss.

ETA. If it was usable, why did the final findings from the IARP not include any violations in regard to Smart? Hell, the NOA didn’t make any allegations based on Smart.
