But I don't get all the chatter about Shepherd. In four years he's accomplished exactly what that leads people to pine for him to be on the field for LSU?
He was not a consistent receiver for sure - though he was 2nd on the team in receiving TDs last year and was 2nd on the team in receiving the year before that.
But he was definitely worth a few touches each game because of his speed. Again, he averaged 8 yards per rush this year and right at 7 yards per rush his other years. He almost broke a TD against Bama this year on that play when he ran for 19 yards. He made a huge 30+ yard catch in the Bama win last year too. He brought value and should have been used more than NONE.

At least use all your bullets when the offense is being controlled
Same thing with the nc game

Les is anti-gun so having many bullets is kind of a waste.

He is a good kid. He just cant play at this level thats all. He didnt have a choice but to come back and try to get drafted this yr. Miles did the right thing and calmly got this kid back to reality and another yr in the classroom. HOpe he studied and got his degree he will need it.

So you're telling me that he wasn't worth a few touches in a game where we had EIGHT 3 and outs?
We're not saying he was All-SEC here. If he averaged 7+ against Bama on a few carries, he certainly could have done so against Clemson or some other teams...

Nope, I was answering the question that was asked.
But to answer ur question. I will say we tried to get too many guys involved last nite like it was. Any Shepard touch wouldve been another non touch for Hill who clearly didnt get enough touches last nite.

With decent offensive coaches, shep could have been a Percy harvin type player. It's disappointing because of all of the hype coming out of high school. Another 5 star talent wasted at LSU because of a stubborn head coach

I can agree with that, but my problem is that Hill or anyone who was most likely to get us two yards did not get the ball when the time came.

If u guys remember his freshman yr, they gave him every chance to be Harvin at the detriment of the team. Heck he even got caught from behind in the Alabama game when he was free. Harvin wouldve been in the end zone non touched. Some guys excel at one level and not the other see Reggie Bush.
Shepard is a good player and a great person.
Lets see how much talent the NFL thinks he has on draft day. If he is a 5th rounder or better I will take this back if not, it is what it is.
