We should NOT be worried about our defense wearing down as the season goes along no matter how bad our offense is...

With really no major injuries on Def my estimate is 9 DL, 7 LBs, and 9 DBs have all played significant time and have played at a very high level. This might be the most quality depth a LSU defense has ever had (and there are a TON of underclassman in this group).

When people say defense, they are talking about PP

and after this year we lose our best three, but still have plenty of young guys to take their place. loving our depth we built up on D.

Right now our defense is dominant. I'm just saying that we shouldn't be as worried about our defense wearing down as the year goes on bc of the depth.

In the NC year, our defense wore down as the year went along mainly because of lack of quality depth. They regained their form in the NC game bc of the month of rest. I don't see this as being an issue this year.

I agree that Nevis, PP, and Shep are the top players but there are definitely players that are right on their heels in terms of quality of play.

I see it as an issue if they are on the field for 40+ minutes -- they're great but not superhuman.

We need an offense to at least sustain drives and hold your breath...score touchdowns.

Even though we haven't played a stong offensive team, I now undertand your strong faith in our defense.
