With the changes in college football hopefully we are doing 100% review of football ops

Aka what does best of best look like and what coach fits that
It just feels like there needs to be a gm roster management person like Austin and X and Os coach.
I am think as putrid as Kelly was and it does sound like he screwed a lot of stuff up. What staff, processes a s system do we have in place and how does that match up with coaching.
If Austin is this all world guy match him up with a Kelvin Shepherd ( who may not even want college) or a solid Group of 5 guy
I want somebody young and relatable.
Sounds like Brian Kelly was semi lazy and just CEO type. Take roster management and so.e.of the other stuff off the plate and put the right team together.

I think our front office is set up like an NFL team and is set up for success. We did very well in the portal last year and recruiting was going well.
Our coaches just failed us.

Dusty and Danny did a review of the Brian Kelly hiring round
DC and OC like Elko, Freeman, Lea,and Lanning were winners
Retreads like Kelly, Fickell, Freeze.

Brian Kelly is so far removed he didn't even know how to hire a decent coach

This is proving true in the NFL too. But a retread is what wins the press conference and I feel that's where we are headed unfortunately with Kiffin

Yeah if you can't pick out up and coming talent you shouldn't be doing the hiring
