To me, yes.

To the administration, no

I thought you were a big enough boy to distinguish but I was wrong.

That 5th ranked class? Strange. That's elite in any book, except yours I suppose.

What reality are you people existing inside? The offense is the same or worse than when Les was here. Recruiting is not as good. What objective metric are you using to determine that O has the program in better shape than before he was hired?

The last recruiting class at #5 and the 2019 class set to be epic.
"going to be," "about to," "set to be." You do realize none of those things have happened.

If they do, I'll admit we're moving up. Unless and until then, we're in the same range as Les' last few years.

Well someone said that Joe was the only AD who thought Orgeron was qualified for a head coach job and you called him dumb
How was he not qualified? Do you know what qualified means?

I assumed that if that was indeed the case, O would have gotten at least one interview for a head coach job after leaving Ole Miss, and was hoping you could fill me in.
Terrible assumption.

Well, the year prior the consensus was that given the in-state talent, we'd have a real shot at the #1 class.

Do you honestly not believe that this team is poised to win and compete with the top of the SEC?

If we're going to do it under Orgeron it's going to be this year. I don't know that the stars could potentially align like this for quite some time.

He had 5 in 11 full seasons, so almost half of his classes.

Nice edit Shrubs.

Horrendously bad record at Ole Miss
Dirty recruited LSU at UT and USC
Had a chance to come to LSU earlier and declined
No other interest from any other school for HC

Not sure I know what it means, but I know what it doesn't mean - and that is O's resume before LSU hired him.

You got me there, no clue why I would have assumed someone vying for such a competitive and coveted job would have actually been considered for a similar job beforehand.

What does it have to do with 2019?

I'm trying to understand your line of thinking here.

Is a top five class not excellent?

Not sure, I am responding to a poster who referred to it as "epic".

The offense is changing as we speak. Have you been in this country for the last year or two. Man give this guy a chance he is trying to do things to get this program to a top 5 level. If you can't see what is happening, you just don't want to see it. There are many programs that are aiming high right now and we are one of them. Not all will succeed but the effort i see gives me a good feeling about this program.

Classes are judged 3-4 years out, so it may or may not be.

But it looks pretty damn good.

Same thing was said last offseason and the one before that. Meaningless until it is actually shown on the field.

It's going on his third year, third and a half if you count the interim stint in 2016. He hasn't received anything less than a chance.

Trying and accomplishing are two different things. Lots of people try to do things that they aren't capable of accomplishing.

Help me see it, direct me to an objective metric of how the program is in better shape than before he was hired.

It's a good class, sure. But LSU again showed an inability to close on elite recruits, which will keep them out of the elite recruiting tier.
