I like the New Orleans move for all of the football/fan reasons. From a standpoint of removing your worst case scenario I simply don't think it was the best move. New Orleans and surrounding areas are under a flash flood warning until Thursday night. The city is notorious for having flooding issues and just recently had a flooding event.
At the end of the day I am just happy I will get to see them play but if your goal was to remove the worst case scenario, they failed and have a very slight chance of looking idiotic with this decision.

Apparently you haven't been keeping up with current events. Sure, everything may be fine, but is it a certainty? Willing to bet everything on it?

Trust me, I've had everything bet on it for a long time. You can bet on Sat night being just fine.

Meaning if water is poured into it upstream of New Orleans, it will flow through New Orleans which could raise the river if it's enough water. It's literally how rivers work.

Kidding right?

Every gallon of water from the middle of the country flows thru Nola every single year. It's literally how the Miss. River works.

Mississippi river, how does it work?

It has secret canals that run under the city and it ends in a giant pool under the Dome.

Do you know the last time the Mississippi flooded New Orleans?

It's Tuesday and this storm hit Houston days ago...are they good?

And every major forecast said they wouldn't be over days after landfall.... that it would stall and drop 50" of rain. And it did. Now every major forecast has this thing outta here by thursday-friday. They're getting pretty good at this weather prediction thing bud.

I thought BYU would not play on a Sunday.

They are from a different time zone. This gives them extra time.

That's exactly what I just fricking said

I never said the Mississippi would flood the city, I just said the water definitely goes through New Orleans via the Mississippi river.

You definitely don't know how the Mississippi River works. Rain from one storm is not going to have an impact.

I didn't say it would. I just said the water would come through via the river.
