Dural will be the Deep Threat guy.

But, Q will play: Red Zone especially.

He is tall, can jump, and has good hands. He is simply so slight that CBs will jam him. But, in Red Zone (fades, etc) he can go in motion to negate the jam and do well

He is telling you that Daquille Williams was a 2014 recruit.

As for Leslie, I think there is always a chance that he becomes a late bloomer type during the season. People keep referring to his weight but that is not what is keeping him off the field. Either the guy is an explosive athlete, or he is not.

If he is, then you would hope that as he tackles the mental side of it, he becomes just too good too keep off the field...even if that is 3-4 games into the season.

If he simply isn't the athlete many thought he was, then that is where the story is. He may develop over a couple of years but hell never be the guy people had hoped.

Dural. Q is a stud tho

Before camp started everyone thought Q was going to step in and take over.

Then he came in with some reports that he is underweight and inconsistent.

As others have said, look for Dural to have a breakout year.

you don't bring in juco's to sit the bench but damn that guy looks skinny as shite. i don't see how he can get significant playing time with that frame.

Good point.

I just believe that JL an OBJ need the presence of another WR threat (a la Ruben Randle 2011) to make it easier for them to get open. There was a significant drop off in the WR unit from 2011 to 2012. I just would like to see this unit get it's 2011 swag back.

IMO:

OBJ
JL
Boone/Dural
Wright/QL

As far as the incoming freshman, is the consensus that Dural outshines Spears, Diarse, Peterson by a longshot?

Nobody knows because practice has been closed but after obj and Landry I think it stacks like this. All guys will get time early and go from there I would assume. Te hopefully will get a good number of passes this year as well.

The wr group is good top to bottom I think and if Mett can play this season like he did last years Bama game, I say watch out sec. The line should be better, running game should be better, and we have good receiver talent.

Obj
j
Landry

Dural - kids been getting good hype and praise

Boone- he's a senior. Time for him to step up and take it to the next level. Was good last year but needs to be better this year.

Leslie- bit of a disappointment since he's a jc guy and they hoped he would play right away. Fast but
need a little more time according to reports.

wright- continues to fade down the deth chart. Also his senior year. I hope he has a good year. I thought he was going to be big when lsu signed him

Then there are a stack of guys behind them. Some of the younger ones like might get some time. We will have to wait to see.

I would say so. Kind of hard to run routes on crutches.

I forgot about Diarse. I bet he becomes one of those freshman this year that will be terribly difficult to red shirt.

Remember, Byrd was a JUCO guy and had about 5 catches at Mid-Season of his first year. Only after that did he make an impact...and, boy, did he!

There is plenty of time for these guys to make an impact throughout the season

Leslie has a Justin Hunter body with chase clement hands. Not getting here in the spring really hurt him.

Wouldn't be surprised if Spears passed him.

I posted about 3 months ago that he wasnt on the same planet as DW in his initial commitment thread but people thought he'd be one and done.

Leslie is really thin, but so was Justin Hunter. He just adds a different skillset that our top two receivers don't have. He doesn't have to be an all around receiver. Just a red zone threat and make defenses respect the vertical game.

Dural isn't exactly your typical incoming freshman. Hes had over a year in the system, and would've played last year if not for the injury. He's the deep threat.

Peterson is out with a broken leg, man.
Diarse will play some I believe.
Spears has impressed, but I don't know if he sees the field this year.
Obviously Leslie will play, but he apparently isn't what we were all expecting.
