Well, we averaged almost 30 ppg last season too. Like 29.?.

That said, Lee most certainly offers more of a passing threat than JJ. I'm looking forward to him getting the playing time he's waited for!

I think the team performs better with Lee. Why? JJ is more geared toward a broken play Offense. His asset comes when the OL breaks down and the heat is on. A lot of that comes from indecisiveness on his part, too.
I think in Lee we get a more fluent QB that will operate a conventional Offense. This will see the talents of our RB's and WR's surface more thoroughly than we have witnessed in recent years.

Has he? He was benched as a freshman and criticized in the media. That's not that bad. I am pulling for him to do well, FWIW

Plus he will have a much better O-line and Defense towork with.

If Lee becomes one of the best comeback stories ever, do you start second guessing you staffs' ability to evaluate qbs?

The most popular man in baton rouge is always the #2 on the qb depth chart so this is normal to second guess the CPA h

I'm fairly sure we already second guess our staffs' ability to evaluate qbs.

to this whole thread.

Let's see him play maybe a quarter, as a starter for christ sakes (I was at his last start and it wasn't pretty and it wasn't 08- a cookie if you can name it ) before we declare him ready for a statue next to Shaq's

Holy Mount Everest of Turd Buckets.

Never a day passes that someone doesn't start another shitty thread like this.

How about we just let Lee play a game or two before we go crowning him the next great Hollywood story.

The UL Monroe game last year convinced me that we need to pour the slab now for Lee's statue.

It's all hypothetical just like discussing the '11 season in general. Get your panties out of a bunch and don't join the conversation if you don't want to talk about it.
