someone that is not as good as JJ right now, i don't think he is that worried
hmmmmmmmm, Im gonna say this as simple as I know how.... if JJ isnt worried that if he dont perform JL is right fuking behind to get his job back then he is dumber than half of the idiots that post here.

just because he wants it back doesnt mean the coaches are willing to give it to him.. they'll give JJ ample opportunity to prove himself but if he continues to make the same mistakes and shows no sign of improvement as JL did last season then we'll likely see a QB change but i doubt they'll yank him before giving him that chance
pretty much what I mena... however if JJ for WHATEFVER REASON isnt getting it done,,, hes not gonna have the rope that JL had last season.
And no its not b/c hes black.
Its b/c you have an expereinced guy on the bench that has proven he can play.

i hear what you are saying bro, and JJ isn't going to have near the amount of rope JL, and he won't need it imo

and i'm glad for that, its good to have more than one capable QBs on the depth chart

So having a very successful career and becoming the #1 overall pick in the draft would not qualify as great?
Maybe...but he wasn't a heisman finalist. None of them were. Maybe the Media really does hate LSU and that's a legit excuse. But to say someone had a great season or career wouldn't you at least have to have Heisman considerations to justify?

If anything, having good players behind you at your position will make you work even harder. It'll keep you sharp.
Just for the record, though, I didn't hear anyone say or imply that JJ "won't perform".
I read it as because JJ feels like he is the best QB on the team, that he is confident in his role as the starting QB and field general of this football team.
"Not worrying" about losing his starting spot has absolutely nothing to do with JJ "not performing" on the field.

only problem with that is JJ has someone that more than likely wants his job back
I don't think JJ is concerned.

Pat White comes to mind. I'm not sure if he was ever up for a Heisman, but that guy had an awesome career at WVU.

No not really
#1 overall pick>>>>>>heisman
I'd say that justifies one's career more than the popularity contest that is the heisman

I agree. It would be nice to see JJ win it. Won't happen though. They really do hate us.

If you take a close look at JL’s stats they show some very disturbing trends. For instance, although he threw for just 13 touchdowns, he also had 16 interceptions and 7 of those were pick sixes.
Then it is also obvious that he wasn’t improving and progressing from his previous mistakes. For instance, in the late season Alabama game on 11/8/08, JL threw 4 interceptions, which was the most interceptions he threw in a single game all season.
Regarding JL’s rushing yards, they show either 0 yards gained or more often than not, negative yards gained. While JJ’s rushing yards, on the other hand, indicate valuable positive net yards gained in every game he played in. Indeed, even with limited playing time relative to JL, some of JJ rushes were for first downs and he even scored 1 touchdown.
Further, JL is definitely not cool and composed under pressure, as the games when he threw the most interceptions were against Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. Thus, he played at his absolute worse in the big games when we really needed him to step up and play at his best. While Jordan Jefferson, in his first big game at the Peach Bowl, won the most valuable offensive player award.
This does not bid well for JL’s future and it starkly contrast with JJ’s performances where even though he was thrown into the line of fire with significantly less preparation and experience than JL, he nevertheless handled the pressure with much more poise and composure while at the same time also performing at a higher level than JL. But best of all and also in stark contrast to JL, JJ showed significant progress and steady improvement in each subsequent game he played in.
Indeed, JL’s lack of mobility, lack of poise and inability to control his composure, and the speed of the SEC game are his biggest impediments to success, even while he does show some sporadic flashes at times of having a good arm on occasions.
JJ, on the other hand, is a bigger and much more mobile quarterback with a lot better physical tools than JL, he is more poised and manages his composure far better under pressure than JL, he is a natural born leader where JL is not, and he actually has a stronger arm than JL as well. Hence, in my opinion and with all things considered the competition between the two quarterbacks is not even close.

this is where you often mess up...
first you do this
then yo udo this
you have no objectivness in your thoughts about JJ. You simply go on blind faith he is gonna be super man.
As much as it doesnt make you a JL hater if you praise JJ(as you claim) it dont make you a JJ hater just b/c someone is sceptical of him after limited PT in regards to h ow good he potentially may be.
Ive heard everything from he is gonna be a heisman winner to the best qb in the sec next season...
To think in your mind he has that type of potential is fine... to say it is quite another.

If JJ faced the same adversity/situations JL did last season and all those things you said held true.... then Id agree with you 100%.. BUT THE FUKING FACT remains he DIDNT, so I dont.
You and your fellow JJ is lord members ASSUME way to much.

Based on what? On Georgia Tech? We should revisit this after the season when he's started the entire SEC gauntlet.

we just assume based off of what we have all seen.
jarrett lee looks scared shitless at times, and jordan jefferson has looked cool as a cucumber on ice in his limited "2.5" games.
it sounds like sour grapes from your end that he is the starting QB.
