Will JJ get any credit from the Lee Lovers out there if he plays a good game next week and we beat Bama? Just curious.

Only if he throw for a millin yards with a completion percentage of 105%.

Also about 30 TDs and zero interceptions. He actually needsto come in on defense and get a pick 6.

The Jefferson haters are ridiculous.

JJ deserves a lot of credit. He also has a lot of room for improvement, but you can't argue with LSU's record with JJ starting.

I never should be one guy vs another. Both can contribute and both should JJ struggles at times and could use another QB in there for a series or two.

DOesn't mean someone is anti JJ. I give him credit for a well managed game tonight. Hope for continued success and improvement vs Alabama.

If you're seriously asking that question you haven't been following those guys' JLee campaign very closely.

There is nothing that JJ can do to win those guys over. A subpurb showing (and win) over a very good team might silence most of them temporarily. But they will nver become JJ fans.

The truest sentence ever spoken about these people, if you know what I mean. It's fricking pathetic that this is the only 'ideal' some people have.

I am a fan of the 11 on the field. Whoever that may be. No particular player over another. JJ fans putting down Lee, JL fans putting down JJ are conditional fans.

I want LSU to be successful period! I do not wish for any of our players to perform poorly and generally supportive of what the coaches are trying to do. If JL was our starting QB and had a 7-1 record, I would be just as supportive of him as I am of JJ. I am also glad he has perservered and is still on the team, it says a lot about his character!

Great post, agree completely. As long as we keep winning, I could care less if Daniel Graff (props to him for the blocked punt) was the QB.

7-1 is a pretty good position to be in.

I am a JJ fan and a JL fan. Heck I am also a RS fan, a CG fan and a Bailey fan. They are all tigers so I pull for whoever plays. I just want to thank my lucky stars that we have so many great qb's that it just might not matter which one is best.

I don't know if JL has overcome his problems of last year. He didn't look like it in the fall game and he didn't look like it last week either when he threw an ill advised pass. But he certainly looked good today from what I saw. I feel much better about him as a backup after this game now that we FINALLY got to see him get a series. (about time)

Is it wrong to like all the LSU players? Do you think that a true LSU fans pulls for some players to do well and others not? I just don't get it.

I am for whoever can get the job done for the Purple and Gold, period. JJ certainly had his struggles earlier in the season, especially in the UF game. If he had continued to struggle last week and Lee came in and looked solid, I think we would have a real reason for a debate. For anyone watching the last two weeks with any objectivity, that is not what happened. JJ looked good last week and certainly showed some improvement. You could see areas that the coaches had worked on with him (ex. stepping up in the pocket). He will make mistakes, but as long as he gives us a chance to win, he should keep his job. Changing QBs midseason causes upheaval and shouldn't be done without a good reason. The record doesn't justify it.
