Boy, I sure hope he's another Cam or he's in for a longggggggg season based off the expectations some hold for him.

Someone needs to start a pool predicting the first spate of anti-Mett posts.

He's got a grace period till bout 3:05 on 4/9/11.

Hey, I hope he comes out smoking. Doen't matter to me who takes the snaps as long as LSU continues to be successful.

I just think there is a mighty big difference between Juco ball and SEC ball and history tells me successful transitions between the two right off the bat are few and far between.

Win games and look competent are high expectations? Hell most people are hoping the kid throws for 200 yards a game and gives the offense more balance. LSU has been extremely unbalanced team the past few years...

I think Jefferson will get the nod at first, as long as he doesn't fall back into his play of early last year. I am really excited for our quarterbacks this year though for a change.

Jefferson will start unless Mett or Lee grab hold to Krag's system and look awesome... If Jefferson continues to start and looks as pitiful as most of last year things will get ugly, if he plays like he did against A&M people won't care.

I don't like to count guys out but Lee really has been disappointing. Jefferson at least looks comfortable in the pocket. Hell we could pick teams apart with quick slants and screens and grind it out in the power running game, we wouldn't need anyone to throw for 400 yds/game

Both Jefferson and Lee have been a disappointment, however, both have shown flashes of what they could do. Neither has been consistent, neither has been great, both have been ridiculed, and both have potential. All these people asking what our record would have been had Lee started every game last year, it would have been 11-2.... Jefferson did not win any game the defense, special teams, and occasionally the running game won them. Jefferson had 3 good games all season (Ole Miss, Alabama, A&M) but in none was he asked to pick up the team and carry them.

shows how bad the QB situation is. A DECENT QB makes LSU a championship contender

JJ won the UTk game on the first play.

I still prefer Lee even without a running game. JJ cant pass worth a shite. See Auburn INT.
that pass was HIGH.

Neither have looked comfortable on a consistent basis. Lee has looked great on a hand full of game winning drives and Jefferson has looked great in about 8 quarters out of the 100+ he has played in.

We did on that TD pass that Lee threw to Toliver against Florida in the 2nd quarter. Problem is that we didn't run the play again during the course of the regular season.

And, then he essentially cost us the game just by being on the field during the final drive.

Agreed. He did that on almost every 3rd down on our opening drives all year long. Yet, they continued to start him for 2 drives every game. Plus, Jefferson's rushing ability is extremely overrated. So, he can run for 40 yards in a game. So, he gets 1 first down a game with his feet. That doesn't really help when you throw an interception on the next play, run the option all the way to the sideline and out of bounds, take a needless sack, overthrow a guy, underthrow a guy, mispitch the option for negative 10 yards, stare at the play clock as you lose the game, etc...

For the love of me I can't figure out why Miles thinks that JJ gives us an advantage because he can run the ball. Is rushing for less than 50 yards and throwing for less than 100 yards a game really an advantage?

For someone brand new to the program/SEC/FBS opening against a BCS title game player...yes. imo

Great if it happens, but expecting it is a tad over the top. imo

Anyway, I'm more into wins than looks, but each to our own.

Better passing game = more balance = more wins....
All he has to do is look like Greg McElroy and have LSU run the ball with it's stable of 4/5* backs.

I'll take a QB rating of like 165, JJ in the Cotton Bowl, and be a happy camper, but each to our own.

Because LSU wins? Honestly do you think that people like lithium, maximus and several others will ever stop their criticism of JJ?
JJ would have to change more than his footwork for these people to get off his back.

because he actually looked like a QB in that game and did not look confused the entire game. He made sound decisions and showed touch on his passes. The offense was in rhythm the entire game and it was the best game all season by LSU.

The quality of a QB is determined by facial exprssion? That seems pretty shallow to me. Personally I wouldn't care if he crossed his eyes and blew snot bubbles between plays if LSU wins.

You can tell by his play on the field tat he is confused, his facial expression is always confused.... However, if you would like to continue to take what I say and turn it into what you want it to say by all means.

And he is to be judged by facial expression? His facial expression is of no consequence. It may well be a normal expression with him no matter the circumstances. I've worked with some people that either smiled or frowned, for instance, no matter what. I've learned to judge people by results rather than externals. I don't care what you look like. Just get the job done.

No offense intended. I wouldn't think of usurping your position of Rant nanny. Carry on the good work.

I look forward to your analysis of the facial expressions of Rogers and Big Ben later.
