Well you're wrong..... I just had lunch with several attorneys and former assistant DA's and they all said 100% for sure that the BRPD and the DA discussed this case and that it's not unusual for them to do so in a case like this.

Correct. The DA probably recommended the charge (2nd degree battery). It does not mean that JJ will ultimately be tried on the original charge or the DA would not accept a plea to a lesser charge.

Oh God, please don't waste the money and resources of a grand jury on this pile of crap.

They also said that this isnt going to any grand jury either....

That's my point - offer a misdemeanor plea, simple battery, 6 months, suspended; 6 months probation, mandatory anger management counseling, 100 to 200 hours of community service.

Unless I am waaaaay off base.

ETA: Apparently I was waaaaay off base.

Grand Jury would be the smart thing to do. The DA can then wash his hands of it and say I didn't do it.

East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore III said he will most likely bring the players’ case before a grand jury instead of deciding whether to charge the players’ himself. Moore said it could be weeks before that occurs.

all we're saying is that we wouldn't be surprised if the PC didnt at least speak with the DA before filing the charges and issuing the arrest and possibly having the DA look at the evidence and give his opinion on the case. There is nothing illegal or unethical about that...that I'm aware of but I could be wrong.

There's nothing wrong with the police asking the District Attorney for a recommendation on charges before deciding what to pursue, and it happens frequently here in Orleans.

Note the statement by Fischer the attorney saying that these arrests by brpd have ruined these kids career...I hope they sue Brpd into absloute bankruptcy...that will teach this shite Hole city for playing politics with young kids lives....If i was them the BRPD, lowery and all those liars would get hammered...Lowery is a total waste of breath and douche...I hope the corps drums his arse out for this little bit of drama....what a douche.....as is the little so called witness...hope she gets what she deserves as well...they both need to leave Br for their own good they need to move quick.....
