I think thus was an extremely bad move on JD's part. His lawyers are filing legal paperwork so that LSU cannot use his NIL again.
I don't think anyone in the administration will vote to retire his jersey, number or ever approve any memorial as long as he has had legal paperwork filed stopping LSU.
Why????

Never retire it out of principle and make sure someone has it every season.
