I don't think I or we would be as critical of our young pitchers, IF they were not so highly touted pre season. All I read was how great these pitchers were and how loaded we were throughout the pitching staff.
I don't know who instigated that nonsense, but either that person has no clue about what is great and what isn't, or they just simply lied to us. They didn't say they were young, talented and need development, but they were awesome. That is what I am critical of.....the hype, and that is partly my problem for believing it every year.
