It looked like Lee checked out of the called play afew times, but there were certainly a few ridiculous calls that came from the sideline.
The situation you brought up I have seen several times and especially against Georgia. Run the ball on 1st down for 5 with Scott. Then run some stupid double option with Hatch and lose 4. Why?
Just run the ball. And you can't have Lee throw on 3rd and 17 from our own end. Like I said:
If the coaches make a stupid call then they should expect a stupid throw from the QB.
I would run the ball over and over and punt before I let the #1 team in the country get out of our stadium by winning on Pick 6's.

Bama was not able to consistently stop Scott all game. Why do a gimmick play at that point of the game?

it was 3rd and 7, WHY PASS THE BALL? run it and if you dont get the first down then kick a fricking field goal!!!
if we run the ball and get two yards your argument today is

If you weren't going to get him significant playing time, why burn the redshirt?
I really do like Les Miles, and he is in tough spot, but a number of these problemas are self-inflicted.
If they can get right against Troy and get at least average QB play, they can still have a 10 win season with a bowl victory. Considering the issues at QB and DB, that would still be a damn good year.

In most years, you would be right, but I don't believe that even a ranter would question why we would choose not to throw the ball this year in ANY situation.

Sarcasm for the poster trying to make the comparison of Pryor and JJ both being Freshmen.
What's really funny is the fact that Pryor>>>>>>>than ANY QB currently on our roster. He is learning on the field and is showing improvement while Lee can't manage a game to save his life.

especially when you have already amassed over 200 yards rushing in the game and have 3 int.
i think we should run every down, occasionally do playaction, have byrd and tolliver run down each sideline and throw it to whoever is single coveraged.
if they intercept it 50 yards down the field, whatever, i would hope that our wide receivers could make the play though.

The same thoughts (founded or unfounded) were being offered with Jamarcus his first year.

...but hell, it's 12 weeks into the season?!..do we blame JJ for not being ready, or the coaching staff??
Dude, he's a true freshman. You don't blame either of them.
