Why not do coaching search like a big company would do it (right way)

If we can’t just hire Kiffin, let’s do this like the NFL, they basically hire ex FBI agents and spooks to do complete background checks. They talk to kindergarten teachers. They wanna know if they colored outside the lines.

We have a lot of great assets to use. Let’s get all the former NFL players involved that want to be involved.
Let’s ask Saban to consult, if we can’t get Tommy back let’s ask him for help with S&C coach.

We don’t need to hire some bs national search firm, we have everything we need at LSU. I could have done with in grad school.

You start with doing an extensive survey with anyone that played or coached on a championship team at LSU, or NFL or really even if they didn’t, and develop a list of traits, characteristics, styles, personality types, work habits, etc that have been successful or are believed to be beneficial to coaching at LSU and develop a mythical perfect coach and then rank these items. Then when are are interviewing the candidates you vett against these things. Etc etc etc Then you look at that background info to see if they can do what’s needed, etc

It’s called a detailed professional selection process. Never been done before on any coaching search in Louisiana
