We have an OC that is so fricking stupid, he ROUTINELY calls the read option when JL is in at QB.

If there is a dumber call possible, only GC will be able to discover it.

So true! So true!

You're kidding right? I mean, you didn't notice that he called it on JL's FIRST TWO series' against AU?

The "READ OPTION", not the other one people complain about so much.

missed the AU game. haven't had the courage to watch the replay. and I'd actually been wanting him to let Lee keep on a read option or 2. per game though, not per series.

Now, I grant you, we run the read option with JL at QB and ONLY hand it off. Alas, the primary reason the read option EVER works is because the defense thinks the QB might keep it.

Absent that possibility, the read option has a VERY low rate of success.

As per the Positigers on the Rant Les is completely blameless for the offense. Les only gets credit for positives.

well my prime example of that is Chuck Scott vs. UK in 07, but yeah, that's one too.

+1
Although in fairness, the TE dropped an easy TD that wouldve put KY away. I don't know if other teams drop fewer passes or if I just notice it more when LSU does it, but LSU receivers just can't catch it seems.
