Lemme guess, your answer to all these "offensive problems" we are having is to put in Mett?

Kinda funny how quiet you've been this week about Mett, I guess Lee shut you up with his performance

Ohh and we have a 100% scoring percentage in the redzone, sounds pretty good to me

ive been hard on lee. but im actually looking a couple rungs over his head as to whos fault the lack of offense is. we could have the exact same offense with mett for all i know. that doesnt solve my problem. im not anti lee or pro mett and much as im pro offensive production

The short passing game has improved since last year. The offense is what it is with Lee at quarterback.

Yes we are all happy we are winning

You aren't. You won't be happy unless LSU has an X-Box offense. It ain't gonna happen Dorothy.

You people blow my mind

Wouldn't take much of a breeze to do that.

Our offense put us in so many bad positions the last 3 years

Which is rare? Nobody else's offense makes mistakes? You don't watch much real football do you?

. It could easily affect some games this year.

For real? WOW!!!!

quote:

This offense is better than last year but that isn't saying much we need to get an identity

I bet you heard that from the guy on the third bar stool from the door didncha? Whooooa dude serious deep analysis there. Like you have any clue as to what an "identity" is.

We can't throw 15 yard passes all night against great defenses.

LSU never throws passes deeper than 15 yards?

Seriously man do you try this hard and succeed this little in everything else you do?

See i disagree. Bama has about as good an offense as we do except I think we have more depth at the skill positions

Our Defense can shut them out and I would be completely happy with a 3-0 win. Hell Id be giddy over a 2-0 win because we won the damn game and thats all that matters.

but why let it get this far? its not like in the pros where we use all our 1st rd picks on the D and grind it out. we have tons of talent on the offense, but refuse to use half of it. why not put more pressure on other offenses to score against our D instead of completely relying on them?

if they go 14-0, i will come back and eat my crow. whats your definition of winning? 9 games? 11 games? 3 games? we cant go 14-0 without more offense. whether its coming or not, we'll see

Lee has thrown ONE interception this year and people still think back to when he was a freshman throwing pick 6's. This is a different QB. He has learned and matured as a person and a QB.

we run a different offense now. he no longer throws the ball as often as he did in 08. if hes so much better, why the training wheels?

So you see anything less than 14-0 as a bad season?

As an ex-football coach you play with the players you and make your adjustment when needed. There are too many arm chair QBs that seem to know more about football than the coaches know

Controlling the clock and taking advantage of the opportunities they get as well as controlling the field position isn't completely relying on your D

You may not do it in NCAA 12 but thats a valid way to win in Big Boy football.

no, im saying this is a very limited offense not living up to its potential. if we ride it out and win a NC with D/ST, then you were right, all that matters is winning. but if we lose, undoubtedly b/c we needed more offensive production, and we miss out on hardware, im right and maybe we should have gone a different direction offensively.

Then your position is that LSU must win the MNC and anything else is a failure?

i love how anything better than our offense is some NCAA fantasy land offense

its not like our offense gashes the D for big plays on the ground. they get 4 yards a pop. its works often, but when it doesnt, were lost and not sure what to do. i totally understand ball control offense. i just think we should be doing better

they have elite talent and elite defense. i think average offense is fair. thats all im asking for. not for OU/UO. if we lose b/c a lack of offense-- like awburn and arky last year-- i think its underachieving.

I say that because thats the only thing you Rantards will be satisfied with

So when are you putting in your resume for the OC position? Your obviously smarter than the coaches and have seen all the practice and know what will and what won't work so please come save us because we are such an anemic offense
