Why would you start a guy who gets 4.0 ypc over a guy who gets 5.6 ypc and is the EXACT same type of runner? People who can't acknowledge that stats are the most accurate way of determining worth and predicting trends/outcomes are the real idiots.

I think LSU is blessed with 5 excellent RB's all of which have played a role.

Personally I LIKE the backfield we had in on Hillard's pass reception TD... KH at fullback and Specer Ware at RB.

However --- I really like seeing Ford in the open on the option and Blue has certainly done some awesome running as well.

... so, back to my opening statement.... LSU is blessed to have 5 excellent running backs and appears to be in great shape for the BCSCG and the next few years... with more potentially on the way.

Do his 6 carries really punish a defense?

Wouldn't a sustained drive with multiple first downs punish a defense more than a couple 3 and outs?

Ware is terrible. I want him processed. Next year without Ware we'll have: Blue, Hilliard, Ford, Jeremy Hill, Magee, and Davante' Bourque. Ware needs to either hit a treadmill or take his slow self back to Ohio.

WOW - that's pretty harsh.... Ware has carried a load of several defenders for 1st downs multiple times this year. He may not have the "hot hand" right now... but that's the beauty of LSU's RB situation... we have multiple options.

gonna have to trust the COACH on this one... again. If Ware is playing (and particularly) STARTING it's because Les Miles believes he gives us the best chance to win at a particular time and situation.... if at another point in the game a different RB gives us that advantage... they get the call. Gotta believe Coach Stud believes this too.

Fair. I think Ware needs to drop about 30 pounds of fat, and run like he gives a shite. Hilliard is bigger, faster, stronger, and has WAY better vision. Ware reminds me of late-stage Justin Vincent. Kind of funny that our "5 star" RB is the one opposing Ds most like to see. F Rivals.com.

People who complain about starts are idiots
They abound in these parts. I don't understand all the whining about Ware - he is one of a great stable of RBs who each played a part in leading LSU to the SECCG hardware. He will be part of the same stable going into the BCS championship game. Each of our RBs is special - why criticize? Unless holding the idiot club card requires it...

Right now Hilliard >>> Ware. Ware has dropped off significantly since the suspension, not sure what is up with that.

Coaches may have wanted Ware to gain some weight to take the pounding? IDK.

I don't recall seeing him fumble and I have seen him pound the middle of the D several times --- stopped for no gain sometimes for sure... but rarely is there a loss of yardage.

KH is good and has been effective... could he carry that load as being the "pounder" for a full game/season ... again... IDK.

Therefore I really like the fact that we have Ware, Blue, Ford, Hilliard and Magee --- if needed we have Gore too. I'm fine with the committee approach... strong legs all game/season... one happens to have an off day/night ... 3 or 4 other options to put in the gmae and "reload" -- nobody in the news saying, "I should play... he.... etc. they all play a role and the fact that Les spreads it around is another credit to his coaching ability.

We have it going on at RB... hope that continues whomever is getting the carries in any given game.

agree, but they have given Hilliard some outside plays that he's converted, whereas Ware's calls have been almost exclusively inside.
