Rueben’s brother posted here during his recruitment and then his LSU career. Seemed like a pretty cool dude.

For a minute he seemed pretty adamant that Rueben would come back for his senior year, but I guess the opportunity to go high in the draft was too great to pass up (can’t blame him).

I played high school ball with Reuben's dad. I was the quarterback, and he was the tight end, and he was just as quiet as Reuben. Very nice guy and great teammate.

IMO, I think Gage may be the most underrated player in LSU history. The kid had mad talent, but didn't really get to show that at LSU. Happy to see he's had a decent NFL career!

Gage just never got on the field when Miles was the coach. As soon as Orgeron took over, he started getting playing time.

I always pulled for him, because he wanted so much to play for LSU, but it didn't seem like LSU was at all interested until very late. He started his LSU career as a defensive back, and got torched in the Spring game.

I really think Miles and his staff had no idea what to do with Gage.

My brother used to be a deputy in north Louisiana back in the day, and happened to pull over Reuben one night for speeding. He took one look at the license picture and started laughing because it was the same pic he has in every other scenario… blank stare. My brother told him to have a good night, he was a fan. Reuben actually smiled and drove off.
