Because the real experts are making their money coaching.

The real problem is lack of competition for ESPN. It looks like things may be changing soon in that regard though.

That's a lot of hate for a network

I didn't mention a network at all. I said the sportscaster was a dumbfrick, and he most assuredly is.

Look Rantards, I've said it here a million times: It is not ESPN's job to research/promote small market teams like LSU

If they want to make an affirmative statement of fact, it's their fricking job to educate themselves on the fact that they are asserting. If they don't want to research LSU, fine. Then don't make factual assertions about LSU on a topic you don't know about. It's really simple. They make these assertions as if they know the shite, but they don't. Then, when they're wrong, they say "Well, we can't know everything". Fine. Don't know everything? Don't spout off on things you don't know.

My apologies. I, personally, think the whole network outside of game broadcasts is garbage.

The days of a journalist, whether news or sports, reporting on actual facts, is LONG gone. As a country, we should be more concerned how journalists are corrupting our political/economic entities as opposed to what they are doing with sports. CFB, in the grand scheme of life, is way down the list of importance compared to, say, the economy.

But that is part of the point I always make here:

It is not in ESPN's best interests to research/promote LSU. They only do so because they HAVE to, not because they WANT to. LSU's success this decade has forced ESPN to recognize us, reluctantly. So what do they do? They use our coach's "personality" as a lucky goofball as the face of LSU, when the reality is he's one of the most successful coaches in the game today. Just one example I could use.

Either way, ESPN has hedged their bets that Bama and Florida are the two premier SEC teams that will garner the ratings, not LSU. LSU is just a bump in the road to push their darling, Bama. They got a lot of mileage out of pushing Bama last year, and the Tide didn't disappoint in the Mulligan of the Century. It is only natural for ESPN to continue on this path.

And if you expect them to acknowledge their mistakes and apologize, you are going to be a miserable man. Don't watch their shite.

Last year Bama was 2-1 VS AP according to ESPN's website,

https://search.espn.go.com/alabama-crimson-tide/

and LSU was 5-1

LINK

although we played a total of 9 ranked opponents and were 8-1. NOBODY played a schedule that tough and ran the table excluding the NCG.

And it is irrelevant now thanks to the Mulligan.

ESPN got their way. They always will. Deal with it.
