Yea; I wonder about this more than I question his playing time. It's like he isn't even friends with his team mates on the sidelines. Everyone else seems to be involved in small talk or strategy talk, but he just stands there, hanging his arms/hands on his collar looking despondent.

Exactly, that's why I think there has to be more to the story than we know. Sad situation though, I feel bad for the guy and regardless of what the situation is, he deserves better.
