Well IDK if its LSU's fault that we play at 230 I think its more about the SEC wanting the money, and CBS just deciding when they "think" the game should be an afternoon or night game

It's because I see this statement everyday that I wanted to put this as a topic b/c everybody says ESPN hates LSU and nobody every backs up there statement and I just want one person to justify why they think ESPN hate LSU

It used to be most of them were serious. Now, I'd say 95% of the "ESPN hates LSU" posts are jokes/sarcastic.

I can't believe I'm going to attempt a serious answer and I believe you already know it.

ESPN doesn't hate LSU. ESPN likes $$ and $$ comes from ratings of the games they (and ABC) televise.

Therefore, gasp, ESPN does promote the teams in games which they are going to televise, especially to big markets (Midwest; Far west).

They don't promote big SEC games (CBS). Til now. There has been a suttle, but palatable change (favorable) in ESPN's coverage of the SEC since they signed the contract to televise the SEC in the future.

in 2003 it was Trev Alberts specifically who hated LSU... but look where that got him? By 2004 he was out the door.

The reason is general lack of intellect - as is clear to any reasonable human being.

Agree. It started with the LSU/USC co-national championship. We won the BCS (the real championship) but the ESPN focus remained on USC. We still see it today with Indiana basketball still playing on ESPN.

Well thats more in line with that ESPN has a contract w/ Big 10 and they have to show a certain amount of basketball games in the Big 10 and Indiana is a big name school, but less were shown this year. But w/ the new SEC contract w/ ESPN we will be on ESPN a lot more in the future LINK

Herbie hates LSU. Miles called him out in 2007 on natl tv. Had to hurt.

The rest of them are prety objective, especially Mark Mays. Except for Gramps Holtz: Dude is an outright embarassment.

Actually, he usually gives LSU a lot of props, especially the past year (which I think may be because he screwed up before that with LSU with M to M).

I think that because Erin Andrews rarely visits, we have this personal vendetta against them for not bringing her along when they do LSU games. I mean, I know it upsets me when I watch LSU games on ESPN and she hardly ever is here.

In other wordss, where Erin Andrews is, happiness follows

Not trying to start anything, but why should a fan be objective? Is that your point?
