Newsflash sonnyboy. When you have freshmen and soph qbs that have very little playing experience, you dont get mention as a NC contender. Please tell me you noticed tha USC got run only as a contender for the punk 10 champ and that ended pretty quickly.
Get a clue.

I have plenty of a clue. I have more of a clue than people who look at one factor and say it excuses the piss poor job the coaches have done everywhere else.

Again delusional belief that we had a shot or mathematical possibility doesn't satisfy me.
I can accept the mathematical possibility part, but that wasn't a delusional belief about the SEC championship. Just because they lost does not make it a delusion that they had a chance to win that Alabama game. And as far as I am aware, this argument was about the team being "talked" about as a title contender, which they were.

Phrasing aside realistically we weren't getting near the championship.

LSU might have had a chance to win that game but poor coaching showed it was never realistic.

If you look past inflated record and his records with Saban's recruits.
So, Saban was responsible for coaching those recruits 3 years later after he was no longer here? He's that good of a coach, got it.

Charles Scott and Lafell. No one on that team besdies those two tried to turn the game around. Once those two started showing some life the rest of the team perked up. I love you how you brush past 3 quarters of pure shite by Miles in that game.
You were in the locker room?

quote:Yes they were. Your point?
You realize some of the guys we are complaining about right now are/were highly rated?
quote:
Secondly I think we've seen that experience means a ton. We lose a lot of experience this offseason.
..and yet you whine that we don't play 20 True Freshman every year. Maybe the light's coming on finally? Naw..

Saban brought in the guys and gave a lot of them significant development.
Does this not play a role?
Why have we becomes so much worse on the DL and OL and QB since those guys left?

You could see it on the field.

So one crop of guys that were highly rated came in and sucked, and now I'm supposed to feel really reassured because another crop of highly rated guys is coming in?
We've failed to develop highly regarded players so I'm not ready to anoint our new highly rated guys All SEC quite, yet.
Of course this makes me really really negative and blah blah blah, but I'd like to see something on the field.

Show me where I said that?

Completely false. For the Bama game the media was talking about how LSU controlled it's own destiny as far as the BCS title.

Why?
We can pay more
We have much better recruiting base
We have proven we can compete for NCs
We have 90,000+ at each home game
Why wouldn't they come?
Because of stupid pieces of shite........LIKE YOU, sonyboy. Is that clear, sonnyboy?
You and all the other pieces of shite who would be all over those guys when LSU lost a game that YOU and your STUPID PIECE OF shite brethren think LSU should have won. You would be right here howling that "Saban wouldn't have lost that game"
Do you or any of your stupid pals think anyone wants to coach in an atmosphere like that? What am I thinking? Of course you do. You're stupid.
Posted on 12/3/09 at 11:09 am to LSUDonMCO
Your premise is incorrect. The correct premise is how does a minority of fans with serious hostile problems get so much attention. Please pay attention to to the season ticket sales for REAL LSU FAN'S OPINION. The rest of them are better termed rabble rousers.

I did not make this Saban. I've never made this about Saban.
Do you think other big school's fas don't melt down after losses? UF fans had an epic meltdown last year post Ole Miss

Another great argument.
What good coach out there is afraid of pressure? Meyer wasn't when he took a job at a school that just fired a 3 loss coach. Bama attracted Saban despite being at least as meltdown prone as we are

You haven't responded on why we couldn't get Kelly or Harbaugh BTW
Neither woulkd come into the "Coaching Graveyard" with people like you, who have stupidly managed to put Saban's 48 wins on a pedestal like Bear Bryant's 232 wins. No chance in hell.
Maybe you could get Bob Toledo..

Coaching graveyard.....
The coach before this one went to the NFL.
Our old OC is now the HC of a storied program
The DC we had before the Co-DC's is leading another storied football program to a Conference Championship Game as we speak.
Our RB coach just got a NCAA D1 Head Coaching job.
Our old WR coach moved up to the NFL.
The DC before the one that is now a HC is a HC in waiting at one of the best jobs in the NCAA
Brumbaugh our old DLine GA has gotten good reviews as the DL coach at his new program
Seems to be an impressive list of success IMO. I wouldn't call that a graveyard

They go down and if they are really the #18 team in the nation they climb back up, but UGA responded by not doing that because they were never the #18 team in the nation.

All you do is talk shite, lie, push your agenda and call it a FACT. The LSU/Bama game, which was played in November, was billed as the winner having the inside track to the SEC Champ game and alive for the National championship. That was the last month of the season. FACT.
