Who's the better coach, Saban or Miles?
Wins and losses sonnyboy. That is the bottom line. Looks like they are near even. I put Miles ahead because he is NOT a complete a-hole like nickthemidget.

So, rtgr, you are officially on record as saying Les Miles is a better coach than Nick Saban.
You want to stand by this?
I doubt you will get very few of even the Miles apologists to agree with you on this one. I think it's pretty much a forgone conclusion at this point. The conventional wisdom is certainly against you.

We have had years of great recruiting and in 3 short years Alabama has passed us by like a fat bitch on a big wheel. That shouldnt happen. Period.

I DO NOT want to live through another 10 years of sucking because we do not understand how good we had it.
When did that happen before?
Surely, you aren't talking about the 10 years after Coach McClendon was not rehired, since we did better in those years than we did in the last 10 years he was here.
So, when was it?
The last (and only) time we went through 10 years of sucking was from 1989 through 1999. You're saying that's because we didn't know how good we had it? Who did we fire just prior to '89 that we shouldn't have because things were so good? Arnsparger ('86)? Nope, he left voluntarily. Stovall ('83)? Nope. Too long before '89 and his barely .500 record wasn't good. So who?

Like I said, sonnyboy, wins and losses. What do they tell you?

Sonnyboy, I don't give a damn what anyone thinks.
I have a criteria I use. It's called wins and losses. Not a cherry pick of a couple of years. Football is not measured by one or two seasons. Look at the long view. What have they done the last 5-10 years. That is how you measure a football coach sonnyboy. That and how he conducts himself as a man.
I think it's pretty much a forgone conclusion at this point. The conventional wisdom is certainly against you.
"Conventional wisdom" sonnyboy? From whom? You?
The other Miles haters?

I was actually a huge fan of Saban, and still believe he is one of the top 3 coaches in the country.

Just pointing out to you that by stating Miles > Saban, you are placing yourself in very select company .... and not in a good way.
I'm saying that you have just outed yourself as a certified dumbass.

Just for the record.
LSU 1970-1979: 76-38-3
LSU 1980-1989: 70-41-3
One other item of note. During Mac's last 10 years the only SEC team to win more games than LSU was BAMA. During the first 10 years after Mac, UGA, AU, BAMA, Tenn and UF won more games than LSU.

I do not blame RP for our season... I'm stating that if Saban lost his starting QB before the season of his championship run st LSU, he would have lost four games... U think Jamarcus was anywhere near ready as a true freshman? So take your "lame excuse" BS elsewhere... I Look at facts that you otherwise overlook... History suggests that you gonna have trouble when you start a freshman at qb .. Stick it in your pipe and smoke it

I'm not reading all or any of the posts before mine, but in no way do I hate any of our coaches, there are some I'd like to relocate, but Les Miles is not one of them. I like Coach Miles and especially think he's got a tough fan base to work for. And it helps with the news I woke up to this morning regarding another great hire. No hate here.
