This was directed at someone else but I'll tell you my view.

Bama's offensive line is playing better than our offensive line right now. Don't get me wrong, our line is good. But Bama's is playing on a very high level. I think we've played a bunch of teams with no real power run game. We're a little light up front and I think Bama could wear us down offensively.

Plus, I do not think our LBs are elite. We have an elite d-line (at least in terms of speed) and elite secondary, but a pedestrian corps of LBs. Bama's secondary is every bit as good as ours, their d-line is really nasty (probably not as good as ours but close) and their LBs are elite.

I also think our receivers have been mediocre at best. Randle has looked great then average. Shepard has yet to impress. I would have thought Peterson would create all sorts of mismatches but we don't seem to use him. None of Boone, Wright, Williams, etc. have stepped up. OBJ is the only WR playing above what we expected. I'd argue all of the other WRs are playing below expectations.

And Trent Richardson. The man is a difference maker. He will be delivering body blow after body blow. We better come ready to tackle. If we tackle how we did v. WVU, we'll be in trouble.

I'm not expecting everyone to agree with the above, just noting that each of these are fair arguments. My one hope is that I see our team continuing to improve. Undoubtedly, so will Bama. But I feel like we have a higher ceiling.

So I'm hopeful that by November 5th, we're operating on all cylinders. If so, there is one piece of the puzzle that we have over Bama and always will as long as Les is our coach and Nick is theirs: Our players love our coach and know he is constantly compared to Saban. They will kill for him to win this game. Saban's players play in fear of him; our players play with love for Les. In a tight game, I like the emotion on our side.

because i watch the games. I really need to reserve judgment until this weekend against a real top sec defense. It's really close though.

Lsu is a very physical team. I want to see how our oline fares against floridas dline. Alabamas oline was blowing holes big enough for a bus to drive though. Trent richardson is a monster, that dude? man o man. To be fair thier oline could make any back look good.

I call it the Les Mile syndrome. It was because of Les Miles crapping the bed in 2008 and 2009. Against Bama in 2008 we just recently got raped by Florida and Bama was undefeated. We played our hearts out and got beat down. In 2009, we again got BEAt down by Florida on a Saturday night in Tiger stadium. Hell we couldn't even score a touch down all game! Then we went to Tuscaloosa where once again..we got beat down by a undefeated Bama team. We played time a bit closely but with our QB play that game there was no way in hell we could have beaten them.

Last year we finally manage to beat them but that was because SC made them look very human and we had them in Tiger stadium and despite those losses Bama still gave us all we wanted.

So this year Les miles seem to be building the fanbase confidence in the team. Bama is like a guy who beat you in a straight up fight. We won't get over the Les Miles syndrome until we beat them in Tuscaloosa at least once.

Les is 2-1 in Tuscaloosa FWIW. We beat them there in 2005 and 2007.

I see you edited. And they were like 10-0 and ranked top 5 in '05. And we played very well there in '09, though we came up short.

The media LOVES nick saban. they will always, ALWAYS give him a pass. Did the media mention anything bad about him when he blew a 24 pt lead to AU last year? No. If Miles were to squander a 7 pt lead this board would crash and all the ESPN guys would say, "told ya so."

florida defense did have the offense bottled up to a point. when their qb got knocked out, they folded like a lawn chair. Another thing that bothers me about bama is, they seemed to be coached to take out players. I don't like that.

Which has me worried about this weekend. They are coming to scrap. Thier defense is not as good as ours but it's good.

i don't know. if we win it won't be by much.

Now you're just being a debbie downer. Even Vegas has us winning at least by 10. Which games have you watched this season?

Yep. I was there in 2005. In a Bama section right near the end zone where we scored the game winner. I jumped up and spilled my (Jack Daniels laced) coke and ice all over the nearest 5 or 6 Bammers. I thought they were going to kill me! So weird that I would have forgotten that.

Right. We play very well in Tuscaloosa. I'm not worried about that environment.

20-10 looks better then 20-17. Not by much is around the 3 point to 7 point ball park, at least that's how I see it.

It seems real simple to me.

LSU= your girlfriend/wife

Bama= Your buddy's girlfriend/wife that you've always had a crush on.

The temptress is always better looking from afar. But talk to your buddy about her, and you will get the feeling that he'd trade you places any day of the week.

There is no way in hell Bama is better. There is always concern when facing them but The Tigers will prevail!

I watched the Bama/Fl game and I wasn't that impressed with their secondary, QB, or anything else. Well, except Richardson & Upshaw. But we can handle them.

Did you happen to get spit on by the Bama fans? My friend went in 2009 and she said they never would play the replay of the Peterson interception while "Ref-gate" was taking place. Then came the bogus call. Then she got spit on.
