This will be done when Alabama plays them and we will be asking, "Why didn't LSU do that?"

I have no doubt that this is going to happen.
I can accept that Chavis was trying to line up and play a four man base and do the whole read and react thing, but after 3 quarters and you see that it is not working, how about trying something a little different.
The players hate playing that soft crap.

I am surprised on the other hand that Chavis didn't blitz more against the run. Your LB's are good enough to blow up the read option in the backfield.

This !!

We gave up 500 yards of offense, what could it have hurt ?

There is no such thing as a good loss... he made our linebackers look silly most of the time and we allowed him to do it.

While Cam is a great player, no one like getting hit all of the time and it would have had an effect.

I know there were more than enough missed tackles yesterday but the whole approach just worked to AU's advantage.

Two fundamental rules of D:
#1) You must stop the run. As long as a team can just take the snap and run or hand-off and run you're toast.

#2) Make your Opp play outside their comfort zone, i.e., up to your strengths with their weaknesses. We should have made AU throw the ball.

It will be interesting to see how Nick defeneses him but I for one would bre really surprised if he resorts to a passive react approach and let's them run all up-n-down the field.
