Why can't the receivers catch the ball?

Is it something about the way Burrow throws it? Some QBs throw a very catchable ball and some don't. It's been an all year thing.

This is on the receivers.

I wish I knew.

All I know is that I have a lot less hair on my head than what I started the season with.

I'm not blaming the QB on this one.

Certainly isn’t Burrows fault. He throws a pretty nice ball.

WRs - Marshall and Chase elite talents. But the WR coach is a legend from days gone by.

RB- Etienne Soph All American at Clemson
Pooka - Freshman All American over 1,000 yards
BAD recruiting with both players.
At least this season, we probably sign the two best from LA.

Earlier this season I read an article about the new WRs coach. It pointed out that he emphasized route running over catching. Sorry, but I have no link.

Remember, a recent WRs coach had them working on catching the ball, even catching it with their arms around the goal post. The ability to catch is inate, and it can’t really be taught, but concentration can be taught. We are not teaching it.

Tards. Not like it’s coaching staff’s responsibility to field receivers that can catch.

LSU fan thinks only LSU WR's drop passes. Watch enough CFB and it happens nearly every game to plenty of QB's.

Fire Ezminger. He's causing the receivers to drop the ball.

You have got to be kidding me.

I watch more college football than I probably should.

No one drops more passes than LSU's receivers. No one.

Its embarrassing.

The two best receivers we have are freshmen. They rarely see the field because the coach is old school and values experience over raw talent. He, Sullivan, and Ensminger all need to be given a one-way ticket out of Baton Rouge at the end of the season.

They are not looking the ball in their hands. If you notice they are breaking, the ball is delivered and they are looking up field trying to make a play. This is all about concentration and focus on the football

Because they constantly try catching the ball with their arms and chest instead of their hands. It’s the most basic thing they teach a WR in pee wee football. It’s also incredibly easy to catch a football with gloves. Burns my arse every week as a guy who played WR.

I would immediately sit their collective butts on the bench until someone stepps up.

It has nothing to do with the ball. JB actually throws a soft ball compared to MB. It has everything to do with concentration. They are not looking the ball all the way in. It’s muscle memory/discipline. Trying to run before catch.

Did not watch the game.

LSU completed 24 of 34 passes. That's 70 percent.

How many drops were there?
