People love to be miserable and until a National Championship is won, the constant complaining will not end.

Part of it is the popularity of the team. It invites a bunch of slack jawed jackals to the fan base who now want to impart their knowledge via the internet. Welcome to the 21st century and all that it entails. Critical thinking is no longer a virtue.
