reason why teams are moving in the direction of a head coach who can handle one side of the ball.
Yo genius, the two coaches that just led their teams to the national championship game were NEVER coordinators.
Urban Meyer was never a coordinator. You are stuck in the past and need to wake up and start paying attention. Football is quickly passing you by.

can’t understand how people can think he just lucked into the greatest LSU season of all time. Yeah, Orgeron might have caught lightning in a bottle. But he built the bottle, the kite, the key, and the clouds.
This guy gets it!!!

How the frick am I stuck in the past? What I’m talking about is a fairly new trend.
Swinney is an offensive guy, incredible recruiter, and has arguably the best guy in the business handling the side of the ball he doesn’t deal with.
All of Urban Meyer’s teams have won with his offense. Of the three people you mentioned, only Orgeron doesn’t fit what I said.

Will always be people doubting Coach O because he doesn't sound smart.

Hopefully he hits it out of the park again like when he hired Aranda.

quote:Bro. stop acting like Miles was Curley Hallman. Miles won at roughly 75% for 11 years in the SEC West with Saban on the menu every year. He won a natty with some of Nick players, but the 2011 team was the best LSU team ever until this year without Nick's players.
frick Les Miles that bum, he nearly ruined LSU and brought us to some dark times. He couldn't win once Sabans players left and constantly brought LSU down. He kept his archaic offense and O was a ray of sunshine through the storm that Les left.
Miles never won less than 8 games and you are talking "dark times."
Yes, it was time for him to go. But take your BS doom and gloom Miles hating crap someplace else.

That is a stupid comment, could only win with saban's players...You act like those players just went out there and coached themselves...Give Les credit he won, his problem is he did not want to change when the game changed.

I hope O knocks it out of the park.
However, it did take 3 hires (seasons) to get our offense to modern-day standards.
In order to maintain consistent success at the level, we are at currently we cant have 3 tries...
