The Carroll fans need to stop buying into the hype. If I am trading a coach in (since this is hypothetical) like Miles, who Tiger fans deem to be an underachiever, why the hell would I trade him in for another known underachiever????
I am going for a coach who gets more out of their talent, not less out of it.....like Carroll.

I think Pete/Les is a toss up. I would have to go with Pete cause at least I could watch his press conferences and understand what the hell he's talking about. Coaching skills I would say it's a push either way.

Of COurse Les Miles did. And you must feel Les is squandering the talent? Carroll has had awesome talent (which he built) for 8 years. The best talent U$C bucks could buy. Yet, U$C with the best talent in CFB has not lived up to the hype. Every season...
If you think LSU is playing below its talent, why would you want another coach who coaches a team, that does the same thing? It makes no sense.

Carson Palmer? SC always has great talent even when they are down. Coaching brought them up and Carroll is certainly responsible for that. His real legacy is going to be the coaches that worked for him.

overrated only in that the media will jump all over USC when they're playing well similarly to Notre Dame or Michigan...
Carroll is a very good coach who usually surrounds himself with other very good coaches. I also really like how PC actually allows Freshman to get legitimate playing time. He's also a surfer so I have to give him mad props for that as well.

Both are great coaches. I take Les though, because he wears purple and gold! That is our guy, and even though he isnt from here, he bleeds purple and gold and is all about Louisiana.
With that being said, gimme Nick Saban over any other coach in the country. I would send my boy to play for him any day of the week, and I would gladly don any cap he is wearing at the time. Sorry.
