Like I said, 25 points against Auburn possibly could've sealed the deal.

Really? Then how come Bama's 27 didn't; Kentucky's 34 didn't; Arkansas's 43 didn't; Georgia's 34 didn't?

Speaking of defense, why do insist on pissing on LSU's? They were pretty damn good

They were good, but the point is that you are putting the onus of the loss strictly on the offense, and I'm pointing out that both sides of the ball contribute to wins and losses, something you seem reluctant to admit. The offense contributes to every win. Period.

Wow. You have to resort to this? Because their defenses allowed more points against Auburn. If their defense could have held Auburn to 24 like LSU's defense did, they would have won.

They aren't our team. They don't have our defense during that PARTICULAR game. That's ridiculous.

So UGA Tiger it sounds like different teams with their offensive outputs are now dictating how LSU would've done with 1 more TD. It's honestly like me saying that LSU's defense won the Ole Miss game. Heck no they didn't. For one of the few times, they bailed the defense out. It was definitely their turn.

if Mettenberger is clearly better than JJ....

I have no problem with anyone "clearly better" getting the starting gig. That's how it's supposed to work.

If is not a game I like to play. Things are what they are and to this point in time that means JJ is the starter and Mett has yet to take a snap...in any kinda action.

I'm going to try and take the rational approach and explain things.

So it is your position, that teams with "good" offenses take unreasonable chances that let the opponent score as much as they want because they have more confidence in the offense? Sort of a "score all you want" philosophy?"

When you blitz, you take a gamble by putting someone on the field in a one-on-one position

And because the LSU defense had no confidense in the offense, they didn't blitz? They didn't use a lot of man coverages? Oh. That explains it. LSU ran a passive defense because Chavis has no confidence in JJ. No corner blitzes, no tight man to man coverage. All because he didn't think that JJ would move the team.

Thanks for the insight into your football knowledge.

Where did I say unreasonable chances in any of my post?

How many times did we run blitz in the Auburn game?

I'm just following your twisted trail of logic. And if and if and if. Not compelling arguments.
I just rely on simple factual math. LSU won 11 games this year. Dat's a fac. If's ain't no fac.

I'm happy with 11-2 as well. That's a great season.

Now I'll leave you with this. Prove to me that if LSU had even just an average passing offense (Say 60th in the country) WITH THE SAME DEFENSE that they would have still been 11-2.

I'm not saying 11 wins is not something to strive for, but LSU's offense is not something to strive for either.

Comparing game a to game b does not work in college football..just because one team scored this many points than this team is unrelated.

Finally the veil is torn and the truth shines true.
