the qb whom the coaches believe will give the team the best chance to win will start. I know that is a concept that many on here can't fathom, but nevertheless...

Fantastic new thread!!! It's amazing that nobody has thought of this before. Huzzah!! You are breaking new ground here. We are ever in your debt.

I say JLee.
I think he would thrive in an I-formation set with a deep threat and a check down on most plays. What scares me is when he doesn't have a check down when every receiver is well covered. He starts thinking he is Brett Favre.

What's funny is that so many people already proclaimed Mettenberger is that guy and will be ready in 7 months.

I don't see why he wouldn't be ready to go by the first game. It depends on how much new information Krags brings with him in regards to terminology, etc.

Idk, its hard 2 say without at least a few spring practices 2 compare the players. Even as great as tha Cotton Bowl was JJ still left sum plays on tha field with sum inaccurate throws. For 3 years hes still lacking in the same areas. Les kno's the players he has, how huge the game is,and the oppurtunity of 2011. I think if Mett decisively wins the job in the off season he will start.

It's not the terminology or his smarts. It's the speed of the game. He's gonna go from community college competition to the SEC.

It's gonna be interesting to see the Miles press conference after the game when he has to explain why he let Phillip's lil bro get snapped in half.

Mr. Jefferson is most likely to make this start unless Mr. Mettenberger demonstrates a firm grasp of the offense.
A better question is who is the starter by mid-season. Mr. Jefferson at the helm is not a pleasant prospect...
