Lonergan is a captain this week, why would he not play?

vs. Clowney??? let's pry to all that is holy this is NOT the case...

Josh D. will probably play due to attrition. That being the case maybe we will see some improvement. He needs to silence his critics (me included).

Still can't figure out why the frick this staff hasn't attempted to move THE #1 LT IN THE frickING COUNTRY out to LT at some point. He's waaaaaaaaaaay more athletic than Josh D.

i feel the EXACT same way…. not even an attempt….

when we were shuffling Hurst to LT, then having Alexander at RT and this and that, we could have moved ONE guy and had a more solid, cohesive line…. my line would have looked like this, until proven that it couldn't work….

LT- La'el Collins
LG- Josh D
C- Lonergan
RG- Williford
RT- Hurst

no need to move this guy here and this guy there… Josh D has tons of experience at LG, so it should be like a duck to water…. Collins, who was an all-world recruit, and likely has a future at LT anyway, should have been at least TRIED at LT...

Jes asking: What's the deal with Chris Davenport? When he signed with LSU he was supposed to be big time. I know he was recruited as a defensive lineman. What has happened to him since he was switched to OL - supposedly to backup Faulk? Is he hurt? Not playing to expectations?

I'm not so sure about this future at LT. if ever there was a time to do it, you think now (or some point in the last few weeks) would be it. maybe he's not the tackle prospect everyone thought he was.

that or the drop off from him to whoever would come in at LG after him was just too great.

Yep. This type of stubborness is Miles' achilles heel, and may end up being his undoing in the long run.

Who cares...we can't move the ball anyway. What, do we score 3 now instead of 6?

it doesn't matter what we think, as much as what Les does, and considering how he plays not to lose, a majority of the time, i could really see his justification as being Collins is playing well at LG so why move him to a challenge at LT, even though moving one guy would allow for our OL to remain a more cohesive unit…

and if he's not, Davenport? Washington? Austin?…. i mean, come on… Josh D?? a G coming off injury??

Josh D would HAVE to be the next guy up….. he was the starter (and a quality one at that) before the injury…. if they are willing to put him at LT, why not LG, where he has alot of experience already??

All I care about is defense now. We have half of a championship team at LSU and that's something to be proud of. Our Defense will not allow us to be blown out this year no matter the offensive play. Even when they know effort in the fourth is futile they still are better then 2/3 of the country. And I'm damn proud.

I'm really nervous about turnovers on offense caused by Clowney but I know the defense will show up big Sat night. I can feel it in the air and that's the roomer I'm hearing around school. I'm pumped for an upset. Bring it home D I'll be screaming for y'all.

I say we get two - three turnovers Saturday night.
The D will be nasty, Cocks will fold it on O.

have you all even fricking watched Collins?!?!?!?!

he has been struggling all year.....coupled with his knack for blown assignments and he's a better choice than Josh D?

Get past Rivals....Scout.....etc. recruiting means jack shite now.

Besides, he has expressed a disinterest in playing LT to Les. That alone solidifies it.

Isn't it also rumored that Lonergan may be out as well with back issues?

He fell on it several times trying to hold the UF DL back last week on all those crunching gainers up the middle, so that is possible

this explains why no attempt has even been made…. he is a "player's" coach after all….

the rest of your post is pretty much laughable, so i'm not even responding to that part….

may not play this weekend, evidently…. basically our entire starting OL, minus Collins, will have to be filled in before the game….

when it rains, it pours….

So starting the year we had:

LT: Faulk
LG: Collins
C: Lonergan
RG: Williford
RT: Hurst

So going into one of the best DLines in the nation we will be without our LT, C, RG, and RT possibly.. Awesome.
